I am pregnant with my first and would like to start a tradition. We always go to the Easter Vigil and I would like to have a meal prepared a few hours before we go.

Lamb is out because I just don’t eat Lamb, but does anyone else have suggestions. I’m sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I didn’t know if it should go here or Catholic Life.

Thanks

It probably should go in Catholic Life.

Ham? You can even buy them pre-cooked, so all you have to do is warm.

My husband is the music director for our parish, so we try to make Saturday special, since he won’t be around on Easter until late afternoon. We generally do a picnic in the park for that reason. On Christmas Eve, it’s kinda the same deal, so we gets sausage, cheese, crackers, and our favorite hot appitizers, and some fruit and we graze on that all morning and early afternoon. We don’t want anything too heavy, as we’re going to be eating heavy food all the next day. If you want to go super casual, Papa Murphy’s has an Easter egg shaped pepperoni take-n-bake pizza.
