Holy Saturday question

I’m 20 years old and home with my parents from college for Easter break. My parents want to go out to dinner this evening. Is this an appropriate thing to do on Holy Saturday? If not, they’re not going to be happy when I tell them I don’t want to go. Any advice?
 
Of course it’s appropriate. There’s nothing against going out to dinner on Holy Saturday.

It depends on what your home situation is like and your own personal feel about fasting on Holy Saturday. Also whether it’s before or after the Easter Vigil if you plan to attend that.

Other than that, I don’t think strangers on the internet are qualified enough to advise you properly.

If it were not fine, then all of us who plan very elaborate receptions for the Holy Saturday Vigil Mass where people come into the church would be dead wrong.

Holy Saturday has no requirement for fast or abstinence.
