Who is He?
“He” is the angel Jibraaeel.

Allaah says in the Quraan:
“Say (O Muhammad SAW) Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought it (the Qur’an) down from your Lord with truth, that it may make firm and strengthen those who believe and as a guidance and glad tidings to those who have submitted (to Allaah).” (An-Nahl 16:102)

“The Day that Ar-Rooh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] and the angels will stand forth in rows, none shall speak except him whom the Most Beneficent (Allaah) allows, and he will speak what is right.” (An-Naba 78:38)

So was this question, inJesus, asked because you really did not know the Muslim belief on this issue? (doubtful 😉 ) Or was it asked because you wanted a Muslim to give you a reply that you simply wanted to debunk in the first place?

Jonathan

Hello , thx for replying. Do you know Arabic? would you please re-quote your verses in Arabic to see if the words in braquets are in Arabic? thx.

Yes in fact i do have questions but i want to make sure about the Muslim general view of the Ruh Al Quds.

Jcaz, i’ll make it easier. Can you bring me a Quranic verse in Arabic that says Holy Spirit is Gabriel? if yes please show it, if not please say on what basis do you consider Gabriel as Holy Spirit. thx.

Here’s the arabic for you, which again, you seem to already know.:

And as you surely know (and knew), the words in brackets are only for clarification. The arabic word simply says “ar-rooh”.

So can you stop playing the game and get on with your “debunk” of the Islamic view. Because you obviously are NOT here to spread Christianity. You are obviously NOT here to call people to Christianity in the way the Jesus, peace be upon him called people to his path. Rather, you are here to only call Islaam stupid and barbaric, and whatever other words of hate you can come up with. So stop the game and get on with your “debunk” OR, and here is a thought, start following the one who you claim to be your Lord and Savior and call to his path PROPERLY.

Yes in fact i do have questions but i want to make sure about the Muslim general view of the Ruh Al Quds.
Sure you do! So let us see if you are a LIAR or if you truly have questions that you are actually, sincerely curious about. As opposed to one who simply asks in order to start a debate.

But inJesus, you will surely, as you always have, expose yourself as a liar who does not care about what answer we give. You only want the chance to argue and debate. NOT THE WAY JESUS, OR ANY OF THE PROPHETS OF GOD, INVITED TO THE TRUE PATH. Why do you not ponder of that and your actions?

Strange, why did you put yourself on the attack?? there are things that i personally don’t understand about the topic and i need a step by step conversation to clarify things. Yes i know the Arabic quote of yours do not have the braquets cuz i have a Quran next to me so i checked. That’s why i asked about : either another quote that says Gabriel is Holy Spirit and if not , why he is thought to be the Holy Spirit.

Is asking who the Holy Spirit is a way to call Islam barabaric? subhanallah.

If you don’t want to answer then kindly step back.

liar? where did i ever lie? kindly show it.

Please! Do not try to act innocent when someone calls you out on your actions. You have never “innocently” inquired, with sincerity, on any teaching of Islaam. ALL of your posts have shown you to be the type that merely wants to disprove Islaam. And so be it.

But don’t get angry when i call you out on it.

I deal very kindly and gently with Christians, athiests, etc ALL THE TIME. They ask sincere questions and then get honest answers. Maybe the agree or disagree. This is how we learn. But for the people that are obviously on there to argue and debate, I do of course deal with them differently. They do not want the answer. They only want the chance to “debunk”.

So don’t try to play the innocent lamb game. We, Muslims and Christians alike on this board, know YOU and your actions. And I will not play your games.

Rather, inJesus, you should feel that i am helping you by fast-forwarding through the game and just giving you a direct opportunity to “debunk” which is what ALL your posts towards Islaam have shown you to be wanting to do.

prove it please.

well Jesus and the apostles did use harsh words , when needed, while exposing the Truth to hypocrites. Not saying that you are a hypocrite, but just for your info.

Now if you want to start personal attacks then kindly step back. If you got answers, then why this attack? go ahead.
This thread is now officially off-target simply because I called you out. If you really want to know where I feel you have “lied”, the pm me or you can start a new thread on this.

So let us move forward and get to your “debunk”, the original purpose of this thread.

Thanks! 👍

Jonathan

Would you answer please?

Is there a specific aya saying Jibreel is the Holy Spirit? if not, why is he identified with the Holy Spirit?? in other words, on what basis?

Lord have mercy ! you are behaving like Muslims did when the Pope quoted the emperor!! are you omnipotent to know what am thinking of?? yes Islam is a heretic Christian cult to me and Muhammad not a prophet…did i ever deny this? no…but what does this have to do with my question is beyond me! we believe the Holy Spirit is God because He has the attributes of God. You believe the Holy Spirit as an angel. Why?? please do not waste my time any longer. If you got no answers, let somebody else answer. If you got, then let’s have a decent conversation…i don’t want to rebute anything…i can use much better passages to debunk the Quran.

btw, i asked first who is the Holy Spirit because , to your info, some Muslims considered him to be Jesus. So i wanted to make sure about the general belief thank you.

You KNOW that there is not a verse in the Quraan that says that the Holy’s spirit is angel Jibraeel. So don’t ask questions you know the answer to. As mentioned inJesus, I am not playing these games with you.

Maybe another Muslim will come here and purposely “set themselves up” for your debunk if you will not want to debunk until a Muslim gives you the firepower you are looking for.

So go on with your “debunk”. We are waiting.

listen Jcaz, am not Muslim. I did not memorize the Quran. And i don’t even know how to “count” words or sentences using computer softwares. In other words, i cannot possibly know if there is such a sentence that’s why i HAD to check your quotes to see the braquets you or the translator inserted. If you do not believe this, suit yourself but am not omnipotent.

i wanted to trace Islamic belief to the wrong Ebionitic beliefs that Gabriel = word of God =holy spirit.
Yes, so let us get on with it. “trace” away.

You surely have read, and perhaps even have open, several articles written by your hero “sam”. So go ahead and “debunk”…sorry, go ahead and “trace”.

Regards,

Jonathan

does the site i gave indicate it is from ansering islam? i don’t think so.

Since you know Arabic, **I INJESUS, I CHALLENGE YOU **to read the link i gave .

See, i want you to CONFIRM the Ebionitic heresy, not to debunk 😉 because, after all, Waraqa Ben Nawfal who was NOT an orthodox Christian is the one who taught Muhammad ALL the WRONG teachings about orthodox Christianity.

I repeat, i , INJESUS, CHALLENGE you to read the link. When you do, ( it takes you a couple of hours to read it)either come back and refute, or admit its truth. I’m here for you if you dare read and refute.

This thread, believe it or not, was meant as a personal research and of course others will gain as well. And i did not want to refute anything. But since you OBLIGED me to give you the link to prove my point, then the challenge is open to you and any other Muslim.

:clapping: Finally, i was wondering when you would expose yourself as a liar on this thread. you started by saying:
Yes in fact i do have questions but i want to make sure about the Muslim general view of the Ruh Al Quds.
Then you got angry for me calling you out and not playing your games.

But finally, you have shown your true intentions. Rather than really “wanting to know” Muslim beliefs, you finally state that you “know” that:
Waraqa Ben Nawfal who was NOT an orthodox Christian is the one who taught Muhammad ALL the WRONG teachings about orthodox Christianity
And then you “dare” me to “refute” your claims, or that of your other hero used here, Yusef.
if you dare read and refute
hah! sounds like someone who really wants to ask questions and learn! :rotfl:

No, i will not read any garbage link you send.

My only purpose of participating in this tread was to call you out as one who does not want to truly ask a question. Rather you only want to “challenge” and show that “Muslims are wrong”, etc, etc. This was shown very clearly. The charade is over. :yup:

Ok, since the thread took a totally different “route” than the one intented, which was meerly historical investigation for myself , then here is the fact :

Ebionites used to believe that Gabriel= word of God = Holy Spirit.

The link i gave traces the history of the Ebionites, how they ended up in Hijaz and Mecca, why they believed in what they believed, their doctrines, their rituals and how they ended up in Quran.

This is the core of it. Islam existed before Muhammad. We are tracing its history. Only when one understands where Islam came from, will he understand the truth.

Any Muslim here who is very “sure” that Muhammad took his info from God, let him step in, read the link, and refute it.
