No.

There is a difference between the Gifts of the Spirit and the Fruits of the Spirit.

You need to understand why they are not called “Stuff”. Gifts from God are not stuff, they are something He gives you after His Son died and rose for your sins. The Spirit that was sent to us when Jesus returned to Heaven.

If you want to know about the Gifts and the Fruits, we can discuss them.

That’s what I always thought too. But I was reading about the Holy Spirit at newadvent.com for a class I’m teaching and when it was talking about the gifs of the Spirit it broke them up into 2 groups - the 7 gifts as I have always heard them, and then a second group called the charismata. After looking at it for a while I noticed that there were 12 charismata. So I thought maybe the 12 charismata listed under the gifts were what we call today the 12 fruits.

That’s what I thought too, but there’s more gifts!!! There’s a whole second category of gifts called charismata. They are: the Apostolate; prophecy; the discerning of spirits; teaching; the word of wisdom and knowledge; helps; government; increased faith; the power of miracles; healing of the sick; the gift of tongues; and the interpretation of tongues.

I found them at www.newadvent.com

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit:

Wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord.

The Fruits of the Holy Spirit:

Charity, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, generousity, gentleness, faithfulness, modesty, self-control, and chasity.

Here’s more from New Advent:
“Theologians distinguish the charismata from other graces which operate personal sanctification…The “gifts and fruits of the Holy Ghost”, being given for personal sanctification, are not to be numbered among the charismata.”
