Hello! I have 2 portable and small Holy Water containers but I need enough for my Holy Water font. What do you use? Water bottles, etc.? Thanks!

use anything that can hold water. See if you can get hold of a old fuel tanker truck fill it up with water take down to your local parish church back the truck up into your parish priests driveway and ask him to bless the whole bloody lot.

The best container to use for holy water is a 2 ltr. glass bottle with an easy release seal. Make sure it is clean before you fill it. I decorated mine with a picture of our Lady of Lourdes to prevent everyone from drinking it. I wouldn’t use plastic containers, because plastic takes on condensation and bacteria (depending on how much salt you put into the water). Also I keep the bottle on a place in the house where I don’t forget it. I have a little shrine in honor of our Lady, where I keep the bottle beside the shrine and pray that the blessing with Holy Water will protect me and the household.

If you need more than 2 litres, I would build myself a 20 ltr. copper drum with a little tap on the bottom. You just need someone who can make you one or check out some Youtube videos on how to build it yourself.

Almost any container will do.

A number of years ago, an emergency arose and there was a need for Holy Water. The only thing I could find at that moment was a dixie cup.

I use a pretty glass carafe I picked up at a thrift store. You can use just about anything.

This thread really made me chuckle because just the other day I decided to get some Holy Water while at Mass and the only containers I have are the little bottles that use to hold chopped garlic or pickles. I thought, “Can I use those?”

I think I can. 👍

Go too a Catholic store for they have different size.or a place that sells religious Items.

Why not just take the priest to the local reservoir?

By the way, Eastern Catholics and Orthodox do bless bodies of water during Theophany. So that water coming out of your faucet could be blessed 😉

I don’t have any Holy Water (yet) but I do have a bottle and a wall font.
