No, I haven’t tried nail polish- I’ve never even heard of that. I’ll try it. It would be really nice to use it other than special occasions and Holy Week.

My hope is to get it re-silvered, someday. I will try this, in the meantime. Thanks 🙂
 
We have a store-bought one at our entance. If you’re looking for one to make, I do have a simple crafty one for kids to make. It’s just a plain wooden plaque from a craft store, kids can paint, draw, decoupage pictures, whatever, their little hearts out all over it, then hot-glue (or you can superglue, I guess) the little empty plastic cup that holds a tealight candle to the front.
