Holy Water Spilled in the Fridge

I tried to get as much of it up as possible, and I poured it outside on the ground (where no one will walk). But there was some that I had to clean up with a paper towel, and it also got all over a couple of pints of berries. I’m not quite sure what to do with this. I put the paper towels and berry containers in a plastic bag as I didn’t want to throw it in the trash can. I will ask my priest what to do, but would be interested in thoughts here as well.

(no I’m not scrupulous)
 
Former Sacristan here. Let the water evaporate from the paper towels, then throw them away. The berries are fine to eat after the water dries off.
 
I would let them air dry, and then toss the paper towels in the trash and wash the berry containers.
 
Consume the berries, and let the water evaporate.

Out of curiosity, was it Holy Water, or Theophany water?
 
Theopany. I used Holy Water as I thought more people would get th jist of what I meant.
 
Are you supposed to keep it in the fridge? I keep mine in a closet
 
Ok, I thought it would be odd that you had the other about . . .
 
Eat the berries – holy water is great for ones soul and now the berries are even better.
You could bury the paper towel or take a large tin can (coffee can something like that) and burn the paper --1, 2 3 poof! smokey incense 😀
 
Why is it odd to have Holy water around? ok it’s strange to have it near a fridge (possibly) but it’s certainly not odd to have it in the home or not in my understanding anyway.
 
My bottle of Theophany Water lives in the Fridge - always has done.

I keep mine on my desk at my office. Before work each day, I spend time in prayer.
 
I’m Byzantine and it’s really called Theophany Water. I used the term Holy Water so more people would understand. We keep it in the fridge because we drink it.

Is this different from regular Holy Water that you find in Latin Catholic Churches?

How much can you drink a day? I want to start drinking Holy Water… that sounds amazing!
 
I was going to ask why it was in the fridge, but I guess that’s been covered.
 
Ok, I am not questioning what you do with it or what its really called, that wasn’t what I had a misunderstanding with. Unless it is something different to Holy water (which is what I will call it ) which may explain that.

I was asking about the other person’s comment about being surprised to find Holy water in the home. Nevermind it seems my question is misunderstood, but thanks for clarifying your different name use.

If you choose to do this make sure you bring drinkable water to your priest to bless and not just take some out of the can in the sacristy or the baptismal fount.
