i think it’s great.i acctually feel the holy spirit in me now.after praying those prayers and the holy water.im beginning to feel the holy spirit in me.does anybody know where i can get a prayer book from?do they have them on this website.im going to look and see.

One of my favorite stories of the importance of the use of holy water is regarding St Therese?.. when the enemy was tormenting her, she would make the Sign-of-the-Cross. He would always come back later and continue her aggitation. But when St Therese would bless the room with holy water, the enemy wouldnt return till the next day.
We were in a nightly practice of blessing each other and the kids when we would all settle down for night prayers… the kids felt the blanket covering with the protection of the holy water…
big sigh like everything else, we got out of the practice of using it.

This weekend, I went along on a camping trip with my son who is a cub scout. I thought I had packed everything and I had. Really as far as camping goes we did very good.
However, I forgot to bring holy water. I hate to have to go more than a day without it.

Hi JMM, I always pack my holy water and rosary when I travel.
Staying in a strange hotel room can be scary for me. I bless myself with holy water every night and morning when I travel to keep me safe from evil.
One time I was at a hotel by myself and I had my light by my bed on and when it was time to sleep I turned off the light. I closed my eyes then all of a sudden the light went on again. I think the message was to not be afraid because my angels were there taking care of me. It was a very interesting experience because the lamp was not a clapper lamp and I would have to click it twice to make sure the light would go on.
I also bless my dog with holy water when I leave home for a trip.

Glad you have it, Becky. We use it too… in our home. We bless ourselves, upon rising… before bed… and before leaving the house. Also, upon returning to the house. It is a wonderful reminder of our Baptism.

Holy water is first given in the Sacrament of Baptism to free us from original sin, when the Priest says I Baptise you in the name of the Father Son, and Holy Spirit.Of course if a baby is in danger of death at birth and there is no Priest a lay person can Baptise the child in water, but must use the words Father, Son and Holy Spirit. When Jesus was Baptised He we emersed in the Jordon, the Father said “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased” and the Holy Spirit decended on him in the forn of a Dove. _ thus Father Son and Holy Spirit.
When we enter a church we Bless our selves with Holy Water to remind us of our Baptism in water and Bless our selves, Father Son and Holy Spirit.
