Thanks for continuing to bump this! I enjoyed reading all the posts from years gone by.

I wish one of the parishes around where I live would hold on the same day, confession, followed by Mass, followed by prayers for the intentions of the Pope and whatever else is necessary to obtain the indulgences.

The part about having a spirit that is detached from the affection of sin is a question mark for me. Still not sure what this means.

Be sure to check all your local parishes for whatever they are doing on the Sunday after Easter, perhaps somewhere between 2pm and 3pm. That day you might have mass in the morning, and then confession and prayers in that afternoon time-slot. Remember, just say the prayers for the intentions of the pope yourself, if for some reason they don’t add those to the prayers at the Divine Mercy service. What that means is pray an Our Father and a Hail Mary, or some similar string of prayers, intending them for whatever intentions the Pope might have. You don’t have to know the exact special intention the Pope needs/wants, just tell God that is what they are for. 🙂

Can you go to confession Saturday afternoon?
 
What are the intentions of the Pontiff right now? Can somebody post a link?

I have looked for them and seen them before. But it somehow felt too complicated to search for them again and maybe get the wrong thing… so I thought maybe somebody knows it right away without having to search. I hope you didn’t have to search Mommyof4. I hope this wasn’t a sin on my part for laziness… it just seemed like too much at the time.😊😊😊 I apologize
 
I went to confession and communion yetserday, and the adoration of the Cross… I am not sure if it still helps if I say those prayers today… but it can’t hurt to pray for those two intentions anyway, with or without indulgence 🙂 I just did. 🙂 🙂 Anyway I am doing the divine mercy chaplet, that is a big one for indulgence… for divine Mercy Sunday. I hope I’ll be able to go to confession again then.

I just leave it up to God and His merciful love if my prayer will help somebody in purgatory 🙂

Hey, even if it is a partial indulgence, that is great! And thank you for the Our Father- we really need prayers right now. Long story short, my husband is getting a lot of flack from his non-practising family regarding his stance on gay “marriage,” and there have been a few blow ups yesterday and today. We’re going to be seeing them tonight and tomorrow again, so it could be interesting.
 
I hope everything will be peaceful.
I hope your husband can stand fast in his faith and at the same time be an example of light and peace and LOVE. 🙂
