Holy Week

I have talked to people that consider Good Friday a Catholic day. I also read something about Catholic Holy Week. I know a protestant church who has Good Friday services. When I heard of Good Friday when I used to be protestant, I didn’t relate to it, because I thought it was Catholic.

Which protestant religions recognize Holy Week? Which do not?

Well I know that the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod does along with the Wisconsin Synod probably.

Episcopal and Anglican do.

Non-denominational churches I went to mentioned Good Friday in sermons occasionally, but rarely did anything like hold a service or tradition associated with it.

I would think that most, if not all, of the first generation reformation and protestant churches follow the traditional church calendar, beginning with Advent.

I attend a Presbyterian church and we have services each evening during Holy Week. We also have a morning service on Good Friday.
There will be a Tenebrae service Thursday evening.
