speaking of devotees, here’s my first humble “shrine” to St. Philomena. Not sure how to get the pictures bigger here.
 
Hi guys, I want to post pictures of my home altar, but I have no idea how to add a picture…I have tried everything. Can someone please help me? 🤷:confused:

Hi,

Scroll down to Additional Options

then under the Attach Files box, select Manage Attachments.

this will open another window where you select Browse and then navigate to your picture, click it and hit Upload.

Anyway, that works for me. Looking forward to seeing your altar!

Hi, I would be happy to help you although some forum pros may now a better way.

Here is what I do:
  1. Get a free account on Postimage.org
  2. Upload your photos to Post Image.
  3. Then click “show codes” below the picture you want to post.
  4. Then click “Direct Link”
  5. Then come back to these forums and in your post where you write about your home shrine, LOOK FOR THE LITTLE ICON of a picture above the space you type your post. Same bar with Bold, Fonts, etc…
  6. Then click on that PICTURE ICON
  7. Then PASTE your direct link in the box that opens.
8 Click “Preview Post” to check if you want, before clicking on SUBMIT REPLY.
 
I don’t know,but at the additional options there isn’t a Attach Files box…I’ll try and figure something out.
 
Please read my revised post… I posted the method for another forum. Then I realized where I was so I revised it.

Wonderful. Home Shrines (aka Home Altars) are a major part of our home. I would feel that our home was empty without them.

I like yours, especially the items on the wall and the candles. Great work. I can imagine praying in front of it. It is beautiful.

Hi guys. If you ever want cheap statues,rosaries,fonts etc. I have found that the best place for that are Antique stores! The statues aren’t always in the best condition but they are still very pretty. The Sacred Heart statue in my previous post I also got at an antique store and paid R100 (approximately $8.99) Which was a very cheap price because it’s a high quality statue, hand painted,very detailed and glass eyes.
