Homeopathic medicine: What is an "avatar machine"? And is it inline with Catholic teaching?

Dear CAF… I remember that there has been some discussion about homeopathic “medicine”. But I have a specific question: What is an “avatar machine”? How does it work? And is it inline with Catholic teaching/belief?

My sister works for a chiropractor/homeopathic doctor… and has told me about this “avatar machine”. From what I understand… her employer uses it to do some kind of readings on patients? Any validity to this? I’m always open to learning and to correction.

But to be honest, it sounds a little “New Age” to me. 🤷

No, I think we’re talking about two different things here. What I’m asking about… is some sort of equipment, used in a chiropractic/homeopathic office. According to my sister, it is apparently used on patients… to do some sort of a “reading” so that the doctor knows what homeopathic remedies to give them. (and I’m worried, that it doesn’t “jive” with Catholic teaching>.

I think the term may be spelled incorrectly then.
“Avatar” is definitely animation.

Homeopathy is diluting things so far down that basically all that is left is water. I personally think “homeopathy” is the placebo effect - mind over matter. A hoax. (not to be confused with herbal medicine, which IMO is very real and very effective).

Chiropracters can do some good with the adjustments.

The rest though…not so much.
 
I don’t think it conflicts with Catholic teaching in premise. It is well known that the body carries various electrical charges and this technology attempts to use that knowledge for healing purposes. I’ve heard some wacko practices out there that are in conflict so we have to be careful. No praying or meditating is done with this procedure so it shouldn’t be a problem. Time will tell if it works.

“rayne” Wow, that LINK popped my eyes open. Thanks. It sounded like “hooey” to me, too. I don’t think my sister believes it, herself. But she works for this guy… and this is what he does. She’s been with him for over 5 years. I have had access to the prices he charges for these “remedies”. Astronomical… is all I can say. 🤷

I became suspicious when she told me that the clinic staff “injects” different energies through glass bottles, into various elixirs… for a variety of health issues.

It sounded kind of like a placebo thing… at best. And “New Age”… at worst.

If there is anyone here at CAF… who works in this industry and can tell us what this “avatar machine” is about… please do. I’d like to understand what the claim for this thing really is.

The Chiropracters I know who use it stick to a scientific approach. Simply considering the electrical charges in the various cells of the body.
Just because it is new and unfamiliar we tend to shy away from treatments. No one wanted to vaccinate their children when the first vaccines came out. That was looked at as really dangerous and hokey as well.

“Seatuck” This is very true. Thank you for your comments. This is exactly the reason I asked the question. 'Cause I know nothing about this “avatar machine” thingy. 😃
