It is quite clear that a small group has gained access to key media, the so-called entertainment industry and schools. Most everything you see and hear has been engineered to get the average person to come to the wrong conclusions about what it means to be a citizen and a member of a community. The technical term is “engineering consent.” In the past, and still today, ties going back generations are still maintained. Fathers passed on their life experiences to their sons and their daughters. Mothers did the same. And there was a support network consisting of aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins and other relatives that remained intact.

But the goal for the radicals was to destroy the family. The primary way was to divorce sex from love, and to make divorce a simple document and fee, turning marriage into nothing but a contract that could be ended at any time. Kids are now the targets of those who want to deny them a gender while knowing that a child can’t ignore the fact of his or her own biology, or steer them toward a certain path through 24/7 messages.

This nation was not founded by those who choose to promote the false, the fake and denying reality. It was a nation founded on moral and religious principles. As Pope Benedict has pointed out, “radical individualism” is a bad thing. This doctrine, if you will, of separating and scattering all people into their own worlds based on wrong conceptions of their own humanity is proclaimed all the time by denying or covering up the truth.

Homeschooling is one good part of curing the wounds inflicted by a media + school culture that ignores, denies or brushes off the truth while shining their spotlight on the immoral, untruths and ways of living that lead to death, both spiritual and physical.

There is nothing bad in and of itself about those things, but anything can be overdone.

First, while I agree that the media is quickly becoming a real problem in this country, I am not quite ready to go that far with schools. I think there are some excellent schools, and some very poor schools, and many in between.

That said, if for the sake of discussion we concede that there is a problem with the schools, I am skeptical that homeschooling is the answer. I know there are many great and highly educated parents, that said there are many not so great parents. There are even more great parents that are not that educated. I worry what happens when they begin teaching their children. Are they going to skip over mathematical concepts that they don’t understand? Are they going to only teach those things that agree with their own worldview instead of presenting all sides of an issue and teaching the child how to logically figure things out on their own based on all of the information presented?

While I certainly think there are parents that are more than capable of successful homeschooling, I feel there are too many question marks with it to say that it is the best solution.
 
The media, in most cases, is more powerful than the government. They no longer view their role as “reporting” the news. They’re now trying to engineer opinions and votes to fill an agenda. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts, absolutely.

One of the reasons they have been so wildly successful, as in the past couple of elections, is that our educational system, for the most part, has been taken over by the same group controlling the media. They have purposely dummied down our educational system, leaving out key things like critical thinking skills, etc. They now view their job as indoctrinating the children to think like Marxists, preferably without anyone noticing. And, sad to say, they’ve been wildly successful.

Homeschooling is the only chance a parent has to escape this trap.

The moral demise of a nation always precedes its ultimate demise.

Acceptance of artificial birth control? “Legalized” abortion upon demand? Same-sex “marriage.” And the list goes on and on, in the face of God! Yet, God, sooner or later, chastises every son (and daughter) whom He loves. Get ready. Make sure you’re in the state of Sanctifying Grace.

I never denied they were doing it. I am raising the question of whether or not the fact that they are doing it is a good thing. Is the benefit they are seeing worth the other tradeoffs and potential pitfalls that I mentioned? Is this really the best solution to the problem? Does the problem really exist or do some people just think that it does?
