After a stressful & dissapointing year in a charter public high school I’ve decided not to repeat the experience with my son for 10th Grade & am considering going back to homeschooling which we had previously done with the older kids for 14 years.
I’ve been out of the homeschooling circuit for 10 years & need advice on online services available for high school. Can you please share your experiences with the options available out there?
When we home schooled we ended up just purchasing materials from different schools & catalogues & compiled our own curriculum.
I’d really like to find an option now where my son can work online at his own speed & eventually take classes at a community college as well.
Any help or leads to resources would be very much appreciated. Thanks & God bless!🙂

Hi there! I’m in ten grade and have just finished my first semester at Agora Cyber School. You can read all about the school at www.k12.com! It was good for me because I was in charge of my time…which can have both good and bad results. I was able to work at my own pace and could connect with my teachers and classmates over live chats daily. Online school isn’t always best for everyone, though. The workload is a bit heavier and like I said about time management, you have to have some self-discipline. Otherwise, it is a great experience! (Especially since you, the mom, don’t have to be the teacher :D…believe me, that made my mom shout with joy!!) Hope I helped in some way!!
Good Luck!
