They will grow up knowing that homosexual relationships are completely normal. Read a book. Gain some knowledge about the natural world. But barring that, at least you have to admit that force cannot be used to keep ANYONE or ANY group of people from lovingly rearing a child. In your fantasy world, wherein homosexuality is somehow “unnatural”, at least the children of gay couples would be reared to understand that sexual orientation does determine ones ability to have love and compassion.

First, as far as books are concerned, I have probably read more than you will in your life time. In fact there are probably books on my shelf that you wouldn’t begin to understand. Second, the natural law arguement against homosexuality is so air-tight that for you to actually argue that homosexuality is normal is just silly. Come now, you know better than that (at least I hope you do). Third, I USED TO LIVE THE HOMOSEXUAL LIFE STYLE. I know first hand how unnatural it is. Trust me, I am not ignorant about this matter.

Oh boy. This is gonna be fun. Ok. Evolution/Natural selection has order our body to sexually complimentary with members of the opposite sex. The male and female genitals have complex functios that order them so that they work in unison with one another. So, when we act in accord with this principle, we are showing ourselves to be ordered according to our natrue. Now the same cannot be said about homosexual unions. Male genitals are not ordered towards one another and our bodies are not ordered towards anal sex. The parts to do not have complex functions that work in unison with one anter. Therefore, when we act according to this principle, we are acting in a disoredered manner. Now we can see the results of acting according to this disorder. The higher rate of STDs among gay men is a quite evident result. This, btw, is a result of the higher level of promescuity among gay men than their straight counter parts. Why a higher level? Well, man tend towards promiscuity more than women do, by nature. This has been shown over and over again. Since these men are going after men who have a higher level of promiscuity, then such behavior is to be expected. This leads to more disease, borken hearts, and psychological trauma. Women have a civilizing effect on men. For the most part straight men have to work harder and commit more in order to obtain sex. This leads to healtier relationships and stronger comiitments. But in all, if you cannot see that male parts are not designed for the anal cavity, then you are simply being silly.

Um…I though the word normal pertained to something that was so common that is applied to the majority of the population. Homosexuals are and always will be a minority. Define normal.
For example, a person born intersexed is abnormal. They make up a small portion of the population. A person who goes gray in their teens is abnormal. I think the word you are looking for may be “acceptable”.But not normal, otherwise more people would be gay.

You guys do know you’re waaay off topic right? My argument was about plural marriages and why they shouldn’t they be made legal. And if two people of the same sex are also related, Would they be permitted to marry if SSM were made legal?
Get back on track you guys. I wasn’t asking why SSM should be legal. I was asking if SSM incest marriages and plural marriages should be legal.

In the context I was using it, the word “normal” pertains to that which is in accordance with scientific laws or is approximately average or within certain limits. And since we know that for thousands of years (and by extrapolation millions) gays have been around in many species (including humans), being gay is “normal”. But I wonder why you picked on this small quirk of language instead of entering the debate. One sixth of the planet calls themselves “catholic”. And by many estimates, 10% of the world is gay. Is it “normal” to be catholic? If I had made the claim that being catholic was “normal”, would you have corrected me? Or would you have understood it to mean that being catholic was “ok”, “acceptable”, and “nothing to be sneered at.”?

Yes. I believe any combination of adults should be able to marry. The government should stay out of the equation. This is just a debate between the (IMHO) true Americans and the people who think government should run our lives.

Its not a loving environment because you are placing children in a fairtale world that is completely contrary to reason. They will grow up believing that nonsense of homosexual relationships being considered normal.

Do you have any concept of how bigoted you are? Are you going to go to the millions of homes with gay parents and millions of successfully reared children and tell them to their face that they are not in a “loving environment”. Ok. And yes, people can have incorrect ideas that lead them to hold immoral ideas and take immoral stances, but they might have correct morals in other areas.

And yes I believe there are millions of gay people in the world at any given time based upon scientific studies… This is of course debatable. But luckily, my arguments to not hinge upon the numbers.
