You write with certitude with this

from this basis, a sampling of one?

Unless, you can explain or articulate better, the reader is led to understand another example of your use of gross over-generalization or exaggeration, and proneness to emotionalism.

A question, if you really can cite a credible source that “a great number of people” who engage in homosexual acts don’t believe they are sinning, with “100% clear consciences”:
Does it occur to you that is convenient justification on behalf of active homosexuals of going against natural law, of denial of “the law that is written in the hearts of men”?
If you disbelieve on an internal voice, a conscience that is being numbed but not completely erased by a way of life, consider a fact, along with a cited study. It is a fact that the Netherlands has the most if not one of the most open liberal societies, the first in the world to legalize gay ‘marriage’ in 2001, nearly eleven years ago. Yet, the homosexual population there five years following legalization still showed to be at risk for major depression and suicide. Source: Suicidality and Sexual Orientation: Differences Between Men and Women in a General Population-Based Sample From The Netherlands 2006. Ron de Graaf, Theo G. M. Sandfort and Margreet ten Have.

I take their word for it. If a practicing homosexual says his conscience is clear, I believe him-and many do.
I don’t see what legalizing gay marriage in the Netherlands has to do with suicidal depression amongst gays. Whether or not society s awhile accepts that gay marriage is legitimate has little to do with personal circumstances.

Somewhere above in one of your posts challenging one of our very best and knowledgeable posters of other defenses she can “throw up.” Very unseemly, indeed.

You give a sprinkling of like posts in this forum including this. Good grief, Gaber. Are you one masterless samurai who could can use some mooring to obtain a cohesive philosophy? Methinks you are ronin, ronin down the river, to be lost at sea.

You must feel lucky to find a Catholic forum where you feel at home utilizing condescension of its Catholic posting membership.

You skipped or ignored the clear connection laid out for you. Nor do you manifest understanding flawed methods of deduction and line of reasoning.

Not productive to engage you in debate!

Your second sentence makes absolutely zero sense. And yes, I understand the connection you were attempting to make between societal acceptance of homosexuality and emotional well-being (or lack thereof). The problem is, just because Serg lives in the Netherlands where the general public policy is one of acceptance towards gays does not at all mean that his family and/or friends are accepting of his chosen lifestyle. He could very well (and probably does) face prejudice and humiliation on a personal level, leading to his suicidal ideation. What you seem to be suggesting is that gays have some deep-seated, innate knowledge of the wrongness of their actions as a result of the Natural Law which causes them to become suicidal, when it is FAR more likely that their personal circumstances are the main factor in any sort of increased rate of depression amongst gays.

Everyone today is leaning towards trying to understand how homosexuality and gay marriage can fit into society without accepting it.
There is no greater slap in God’s face than homosexuality. It is from Lucifer himself. Homosexual acts are “hate crimes” against God and society(man-kind). We use to think that rape was from sexual drive issues. Then man figured out that it had nothing to do with sex, that it was a hate crime. Homosexual acts are not acts of Love. They can not be. Love is from God and these acts oppose God. They are actually hate crimes against God’s creation plan. God gave man woman as a Divine gift from mans own rib out of Divine Love, to share in His Divine Love. That is why the union of man and woman is a Sacrament. Sacraments are alive, because they are from and of God. Homosexuals are saying to God you messed up. Man can be with man… Wow gutsy move! Gay marriage is not civil in nature, it is morally and ethically wrong. I will repeat my words, which mt Bishop agrees with, Homosexuality is a Hate Crime! Do not give in to Lucifer and his tactics.
Jesus never says homosexuality is a sin. I would encourage you to look at your true feelings and recognize that your hate for gay people is a sin. Your judgement and equating being homosexual as giving in to the devil is a sin. God does not want us to squabble over who is ‘in’ and who is ‘out’. God wants us to love him and one another. It is Gods task to judge, not ours. Paul tells us God does not want a strict adhearance to a list of laws, but wants us to have a pure heart, a good conscience, and a faith that is not phony. The modern versions of the Bible have been changed to say that homosexuality is a sin, but the original Hebrew and Aramaic Bibles do not say homosexuality is a sin. I would encourge you to look into your heart and ask if you are using the Bible to validate your hate for homosexuals. I would encourage you to learn about what the ancient text really say, or do not say about homosexuals.

I’m gay and I didn’t ‘choose’ it. Why did God create me?

How is what God “Himself” made a slap in “His” own face? Is your reasoning along the same lines as that God sacrificing “Himself” to “Himself” an act of Love? How exactly does that work? i am surte that you are privy to God’s “plan,” you know how to answer that.

A question that has been asked so many times in this forum. Noting that you identify as Catholic, let me provide you with:

It Starts with Original Sin

A recent caller to Catholic Answers Live (February 22, 2011) asked the question “If [to act out on] homosexuality itself is a sin, why would God make people that way [with same-sex attraction]?”

The truth is, God did create every one of us, but our individual inclinations toward sin (concupiscence) are not his fault: They are the result of original sin. But Jesus showed us the way to overcome that** inclination. Paul taught this to the Romans:

in came into the world through one man [Adam] and death through sin, and so death spread to all men . . . Then as one man’s trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one man’s Jesus’] act of righteousness leads to acquittal and life for all men. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by one man’sobedience many will be made righteous. (Rom 5:12, 18-19)

Attachment to sin brought about by original sin is cured through Jesus. Contradicting authentic Christian teaching by following our own sinful desires leads to failure and condemnation. Such behavior makes us slaves to our passions, which is an offense against true freedom. The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains:

Man’s freedom is limited and fallible. In fact, man failed. He freely sinned. By refusing God’s plan of love, he deceived himself and became a slave to sin. This first alienation engendered a multitude of others. From its outset, human history attests the wretchedness and oppression born of the human heart in consequence of the abuse of freedom. (CCC 1739)

Therein lies the problem I didn’t choose my sexual proclivity. Therefore any sexual encounter I might (by my nature) desire will always be sinful. Not the same if you were created straight, when marriage is an option. I’m not discussing marriage just why my I was created gay and therefore either celibate sinful or a liar

Every single one of us has disordered desires. We are all called to self mastery, to overcome. Everyone of us could ask the same question.
