I’m sorry for getting off topic with my little rant but I just get angry when people say that homosexuality is basically a disease. I have homosexual friends and while I don’t agree with that lifestyle, I love them for who they are and not what they do. I definitely don’t think that they have a disease either.

Regadless of what you want to call it your homosexual friends are leading a lifestye that has seperated them from the Lord and put their immortal souls at risk. Accordingly with my homosexual friendsI am careful to treat them with love and respect but NEVER condone their behavior.

It’s not a disease! :banghead: It’s a way of life that these people feel. They may not be following God’s design (ex. man gets with woman, like Adam and Eve) but they’re not ill.
It sickens me **that people will chastise these people who pose no harmful threat on society **but yet we have illegal immigrants and terrorists running amuck and we’re all too terrified to speak up against the REAL harm in society today.
I think we have our priorities backwards.

Excuse me, but I thoroughly disagree with you! They want to destroy traditional marriage, and want to institute “same sex marriage” as its equal! They’re destroying the family! They want to pass a bill called The Gay Bill of Special Rights, which would give them rights no one else has! They want to stop anyone that opposes their lifestyle, and that would mean that anyone who dares to speak out against homosexuality could be imprisoned for “hate crimes”!

They send hate filled messages full of filth to those who oppose them, like Marilyn Musgrave and Eugene Delgaudio, the Public Advocate, who’s been working very hard to keep them from imposing their evil agenda on the rest of us.

Actually if you look, every commercial there for the UCC has homosexuals in it.

Here…Here… I must wholeheartedly agree with you!! It is important to realize that they are indeed people that Christ died for. If we are all created in God’s image, then one must believe that nobody is born homosexual, because acts of homosexuality are against Natural Law, and would not be inherantly good. If we do beleive we are created in the image of God it is wrong to believe that God created some to be born homosexuals.

Could you show me this Gay Bill of Special Rights? Can you tell me how they want to decimate legitimate marriage? I think you may be listening a little too much to the ultra right wing politicians out there.

Gay marriage is indeed a travesty, but those advocating it are not out to destroy marriage. Their intent, in the pov, is that they want the same rights that everyone else (heterosexuals) enjoys. Unfortunetly the advocates are misguided about marriage and what it truely signifies. This happens often when you have a society that rejects true spirituality and settles for a humanist view.

Calling people evil only causes hatred and strife, intential and not. Do you have any idea what it feels like to be kicked to the streets for being gay? or how about getting fired or rejected frommilitary service or jumped going to the dumpster or hate mail or beat at school or tormented by children or having protestors at a close friend’s funeral? This is what you get when you call them evil. Where do you get saying that they want even misguided words to be prosecutable? Honestly your words harken back to the anti-civil rights movement.

The homosexual lifestyle is indeed incompatible with Christian teaching. But homosexuals are people with a body and soul. If all you want to do is call them evil and not help to show love and compassion while educating about the disordered condition (not illness) then all you are doing is feeding evil.

I just listen to “Life on the Rock” on EWTN recently and their was a lady from Canada who said she can be arrest for “hate crimes” just for saying homosexual acts are wrong etc. I’m trying to find her web-page…

Yes I have found some odd legislation in Canada goin on. So apologize if anything was said in reference to Canadian pratises currently in the making. But I will say that I understand some of what they are attempting to do, though I think their procedure is a bit wrongheaded.
