In my years of being Catholic and having many different friends with different backrounds and beliefs, I always wonder at even among some Catholics the great effort of Seperating what God Himself has joined together which is Jesus and Mary.
First off Christ could have came in the flower of his manhood but He didn’t. He chose to come to the Blessed Virgin as a fraile child completely dependent on His Mother.
Some like to use a couple of verses that Christ was some how rejecting His Mother when in fact He was praising Her for believing in God’s word, and how we become like Her when we follow God. The fact is the new motherhood Christ speaks of is fulfilled perfectly in Mary.
Did not Christ say He came to fulfill the Law?! He honored His Father if He did not honor His Mother He would be rejecting the very Law He came to fulfill.
It’s as simple as that
