Anger is an emotion that, if allowed to grow, can separate us from others and from God. Evil desires that outcome, therefore St Michael the Archangel in particular may be called upon. I pray this every morning and as needed during the day.

Saint Michael Archangel,
defend us in battle,
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil;
may God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God, cast into hell
Satan and all the evil spirits

Yes the prayer is in the Orthodox service, but they are also in the services of the Byzantine Catholic Church:

1. The Paraklesis (Office of Consolation to the Mother of God)
   Ode 7, Ode 8, Ode 9
   O most holy Theotokos, save us
2. Moleben to the Most Holy Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary
   Rejoice, most blessed Virgin Mary, ever-merciful Mother of God; and save all who have recourse to you.
   Rejoice, O Mother of Christ our God, and save all who have recourse to you.
   Rejoice, O Mother of eternal love and save all who have recourse to you.
   Rejoice, O Mother of God’s grace, and save all who have recourse to you.
   Rejoice, Virgin immaculately conceived, and save all who have recourse to you.

thank you, I made a simple mistake. I was trying to use the word worship and thinking based on how someone describe the honoring of Mary as adoration. it backfire though, thank you for correcting me.

Not trying to “correct” you here Pathway2. (Just trying to make Catholic theology in this area a little clearer).

Just thought I’d lay out some basic catechesis.

But you are welcome never-the-less.

Sometimes anti-Catholics delight in finding old literature that uses language such as “adoration” etc.

You need to know the catechesis so you don’t get fooled when they trot those quotes out attempting to say the Catholic Church incorporates idolatry in its teachings.

Now you will know that charge is foolishness (if that is ever done to you).

And you will also have the answer and be able to help that person by explaining to them the truth (if they want truth).

Catholics and the Catholic Church do NOT give latria to Angelic Saints, nor do we give latria to mere human Saints either.

We give latria to God ALONE (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).

We do give special veneration to the Blessed Virgin Mary (hyperdulia), and veneration to the remainder of Angelic and Human Saints (dulia).

And God gives us blessings for remembering Abraham and other Heavenly “Hall of Famers”.

GENESIS 12:2-3 2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who curses you I will curse; and by YOU ALL the families of the earth shall bless themselves.”

I went through that carefully. There are several psalms and litanies to GOD before this canon, in which when one reads through the entire thing it is clear that the people turn to the Virgin for protection “after God” and that her power comes through God, just as God in Christ came ‘through her’, God’s grace and power channeled through her, and her will so perfectly attuned to Christ that she does and says nothing without it being through Christ, perfectly.

And again, that is apparently a prayer said by one rite which kept the tradition when it submitted itself to Rome after having been ‘away’. It is not a prayer of the Latin Rite nor indeed one of the Maronite or Melkite or other Eastern Churches and it is apparently the only prayer that you have found in any of the churches which are now in communion with Rome over a period of 2000 years, and even there does not ‘stand alone’ with never a mention of God. . . I notice also the wording itself in English dates from approximately 1950, so it is also possible that in the original Greek the words translated as ‘save us’ themselves reflect a meaning which would clearly demonstrate that the saving was ultimately through God.

i thought that the paraklesis was also said in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

I think the question was over the naming of Apparitions like “Our Lady of…” like “Our Lady of Fatima” or “Our Lady of Akita” or “Our Lady of Guadalipe”
