Do you have a picture of a Saint or Blessed that you just love or really like to share with us in honor of the Feast of All Saints?

If you don’t yet know how to post pictures, just text is ok.

(Brief description may be added if you like. Dates would be good at least, I think.)

This is my current favorite picture. St Joseph of Cupertino, who could fly. I just bought a fridge magnet of this. It reminded me of “The Flying Nun” TV show, except he has no cornette.

Here are two of my favorites, Bl. Julian of Norwich (14th century) and my namesake, St. Christopher (3rd century)

St.Germaine Cousin, a very nice saint who is patron of abused children and the disabled. She is also an incorrupt Saint.

Surely, you stole my saint. 🤔 I didn’t know she was incorrupt.

OK, I really can’t wait any longer for someone to mention her because she is my primary saint, for lack of a better term. I’m very fond of her…

Saint Therese of the Child Jesus (1873 - 1897)

This short video by Father Barron has some great thoughts on Saint Therese, who she is and why she matters.

Saint Catherine of Siena, a personal favorite. She’s a good example of a woman strong in the service of God, even at a time where women acting independently like that was not really considered proper. It’s also worth noting, despite the habit, she was a tertiary member only, preferring to spend time in the world.

@DarkLight

Catherine is also my favorite. (And Therese. I have two favorites. They make for a good contrast.) She lived from 1347-1380.

My other especially loved saints include:
  • Mother Theresa
  • Padre Pio
  • Saint Gemma
  • Saint Katherine Drexel
  • Saint Bernadette
  • Saint Philomenta
  • Blessed Chiara
  • Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque
  • Saint Jacinta Marto

…are there any actual rules on who you pick for a patron saint?

Sounds good. My confirmation name was “Hope”, which is technically a saint’s name but that’s not why I picked it. I of course don’t really have a baptismal name.
