01) Woman can be beaten.
(Quran 4:34):

04) Women are majority of hell.

…I saw Hell also. No such (abominable) sight have I ever seen as that which I saw today; and I observed that most of its inhabitants were women. They said: Messenger of Allah, on what account is it so? He said: For their ingratitude or disbelief (bi-kufraihinna). .(E)

05) Women are the fuel of hell.
Sahih Muslim, Book 004, Number 1926:
…He then walked on till he came to the women and preached to them and admonished them, and asked them to give alms, for most of them are the fuel for Hell.(E)

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: A woman, a donkey and a dog disrupt the prayer, but something like the back of a saddle guards against that. (E)

08) Women are like dogs.
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 9, Number 490:
The things which annul the prayers were mentioned before me. They said, “Prayer is annulled by a dog, a donkey and a woman (if they pass in front of the praying people).” I said, "You have made us (i.e. women) dogs…(E)

09) Women are for adults suckling.
Sahih Muslim, Book 008, Number 3424:
A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Sahla bint Suhail came to Allah’s Apostle (may peace be eupon him) and said: Messengerof Allah, I see on the face of Abu Hudhaifa (signs of disgust) on entering of Salim (who is an ally) into (our house), whereupon Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Suckle him. She said: How can I suckle him as he is a grown-up man? …(E)

10) Woman can have sex even during her periods (menses).

Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Aswad:

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 3, Book 29, Number 85:
"The Prophet said, “A woman should not travel except with a Dhu-Mahram (her husband or a man with whom that woman cannot marry at all according to the Islamic Jurisprudence), and no man may visit her except in the presence of a Dhu-Mahram.” … (E)

12) Woman is deficient in intelligence & religion, and her witness is half the man.
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 6, Number 301:
…I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you."(E)

A woman is most disrespected in the Quran which is why I do not understand their defense for it . They are to be beaten even if their husband thinks she will be disobedient.Yet the woman are most likely the first to come to Islam defense . I agree totally. However, if I understand things correctly, Islam itself actually condemns honor killings. From what I understand, it is a cultural thing only and that Islam condemns it but due to some cultural issues, it is still practiced in some places. People associate it with Islam because it occurs in largely Islamic nations.

As for Sharia Law though, I am strongly opposed to it. I honestly think it is cruel and barbaric. For example, I read an article on a site promoting Islam recently that said that the Quran advocates this method of capital punishment: dropping a large and heavy rock on the person’s head in order to crush their skull. They actually claimed it was merciful because it would be quick and the person would feel little pain. On the contrary, doing such a ridiculous, cruel, and barbaric act would likely result in a severe injury which would be excruciatingly painful. It would not always end in immediate death. It may always end in death but it wouldn’t necessarily always end in immediate death. I have also read that thieves are supposed to have their hands cut off. To me, that is just sickening.

Mohammad used to have 54 wives, and the smallest of them is Isha that he married her at the age of 6, and made love when she was only 9 !!!

Male Circumcision in Islam

Male circumcision is among the rites of Islam and is part of the (in Arabic): fitrah, or the innate disposition and natural character and instinct of the human creation.

As-Shawkani said in his book Nayl al-Awtar (1/184):

“What the Prophet (s.A.w.) means by Fitrah is that if these characteristics are followed by a man, he would be described as a man of Fitrah, which Allah (s.w.t.) has gifted his servants with, and encouraged them to follow, so that they attain a high degree of respectability and dignity.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Five are the acts quite akin to fitrah:Circumcision, clipping or shaving the pubes, cutting the nails, plucking or shaving the hair under the armpits and clipping (or shaving) the moustache.” (Reported in Bukhari & Muslim)

Allah ordered Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to follow the religion of Ibrahim (peace be upon him). When Allah says:

“Then We inspired you: ‘Follow the religion of Ibrahim, the upright in Faith’.”

(Qur’an 16:123)

And part of the religion of Ibrahim is circumcision.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “The Prophet Ibrahim circumcised himself when he was eighty years old and he circumcised himself with an axe.” (Related by Bukhari, Muslim & Ahmad.)

Ibn Abbas (r.a.) was asked “How old were you when the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) died?” He replied, “At that time I had been circumcised. At that time people did not circumcise the boys till they attained the age of puberty (Baligh).” (Bukhari)

Most Fuqaha’ (Islamic Jurists) say that circumcision is obligatory upon the men and this is the opinion of Jumhur (the majority of the scholars). If it were not obligatory, then Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) would not have troubled himself at such a later stage of his life.

The Time for Circumcision:
During the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) circumcision was done for boys at the time of their Aqiqah (It’s a traditional celebration for the birth of a child which involves the sacrifice of an animal in thanks to Allah. That’s the short answer) as reported in al-Bayhaq.

Other Ahadith mention it being done later. The details here are not important but it goes without saying that this minor operation is easier on a baby than it is on an older boy. If it is essential, circumcision can be delayed for practical reasons, but it would be sensible to perform circumcision before the boy starts praying regularly due to practical purposes of simplifying Taharah, or being clean.

Abdullah Ibn Jabir (r.a.) and Aisha (r.a.) said:

“The Prophet (peace be upon him) performed the Aqiqah of al-Hasan and al-Hussein (the prophets grandsons) and circumcised them on the 7th. Day.” (Related in al-Bayhaq & Tabarani)

Imam Nawawi says:

"circumcision is recommended to be performed on the seventh day of infancy-the day of Aqiqah (Al-Majmu 1/303)

It is not essential for the child to remain as he is when he comes forth from his mother’s womb, if there is something that may be done for him that serves a purpose and is enjoined by the pure religion. Such things include shaving his head after he is born, because that is in his best interests. The Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Remove the harm from him.”

The same applies to washing the blood from him and cutting the cord by which he was attached to his mother, and other things which are done to benefit him.

2 – The health benefits:

Dr. Muhammad 'Ali al-Baar (a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK and a consultant to the Islamic Medicine department of the King Fahd Centre for Medical Research in the King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah) says in his book al-Khitaan (Circumcision):

"Circumcision of newborn boys (I.e., within the first month of life) brings numerous health benefits, including:

1 – Protection against local infection in the penis, which may result from the presence of the foreskin, causing tightening of the foreskin, which may lead to retention of urine or infections of the glans (tip) of the penis – which require circumcision in order to treat these problems. In chronic cases, the child may be exposed to numerous diseases in the future, the most serious of which is cancer of the penis.

2 – Infections of the urethra. Many studies have proven that uncircumcised boys are more exposed to infection of the urethra. In some studies the rate was 39 times more among uncircumcised boys. In other studies the rate was ten times more. Other studies showed that 95% of children who suffered from infections of the urethra were uncircumcised, whereas the rate among circumcised children did not exceed 5%.

In children, infection of the urethra is serious in some cases. In the study by Wisewell on 88 children who suffered infections of the urethra, in 36 % of them, the same bacteria was found in the blood also. Three of them contracted meningitis, and two suffered renal failure. Two others died as a result of the spread of the micro-organisms throughout the body.

3 – Protection against cancer of the penis: the studies agree that cancer of the penis is almost non-existent among circumcised men, whereas the rate among uncircumcised men is not insignificant. In the US the rate of penile cancer among circumcised men is zero, whilst among uncircumcised men it is 2.2 in every 100,000 of the uncircumcised population. As most of the inhabitants of the US are circumcised, the cases of this cancer there are between 750 and 1000 per year. If the population were not circumcised, the number of cases would reach 3000. In countries where boys are not circumcised, such as China, Uganda and Puerto Rico, penile cancer represents between 12-22 % of all cancers found in men; this is a very high percentage.

4 – Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Researchers found that the STDs which are transmitted via sexual contact (usually because of fornication/adultery and homosexuality) spread more among those who are not circumcised, especially herpes, soft chancres, syphilis, candida, gonorrhea and genital warts.

There are numerous modern studies which confirm that circumcision reduces the possibility of contracting AIDS when compared to their uncircumcised counterparts. But that does not rule out the possibility of a circumcised man contracting AIDS as the result of sexual contact with a person who has AIDS. Circumcision is not a protection against it, and there is no real way of protecting oneself against the many sexually transmitted diseases apart from avoiding fornication/adultery, promiscuity, homosexuality and other repugnant practices. (From this we can see the wisdom of Islamic sharee’ah in forbidding fornication/adultery and homosexuality).

5 – Protection of wives against cervical cancer. Researchers have noted that the wives of circumcised men have less risk of getting cervical cancer than the wives of uncircumcised men.

A woman is most disrespected in the Quran which is why I do not understand their defense for it . They are to be beaten even if their husband thinks she will be disobedient.Yet the woman are most likely the first to come to Islam defense . And they get angry when you point these disrespectful verses out.They get angry about us pointing this out on youtube .

I agree totally. However, if I understand things correctly, Islam itself actually condemns honor killings. From what I understand, it is a cultural thing only and that Islam condemns it but due to some cultural issues, it is still practiced in some places. People associate it with Islam because it occurs in largely Islamic nations.

As for Sharia Law though, I am strongly opposed to it. I honestly think it is cruel and barbaric. For example, I read an article on a site promoting Islam recently that said that the Quran advocates this method of capital punishment: dropping a large and heavy rock on the person’s head in order to crush their skull. They actually claimed it was merciful because it would be quick and the person would feel little pain. On the contrary, doing such a ridiculous, cruel, and barbaric act would likely result in a severe injury which would be excruciatingly painful. It would not always end in immediate death. It may always end in death but it wouldn’t necessarily always end in immediate death. I have also read that thieves are supposed to have their hands cut off. To me, that is just sickening.

Stoning is not Islamic and violates the Quran which contain the word of God

The Stoning sentence is exclusive for the Torah which law only applies to Jews:

Old testament [21.21]
And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, so that he die. So shalt thou put evil away from among you, and all Israel shall hear and fear.

You can find it in more verses of the Old Testament: (12:10) (17:2\3\4\5\6) (21:21) (22:21\22\23\24)

God says in Quran that Quran is the new law because the Gospel and Tora were corrupted by men

[05.49] and to judge them what Allah has revealed and follow not their desires and warning that away from some of what Allah has revealed to you if they turn away, know that that which God wants to punish them for some sins, although a lot of people are evil

[05:49]Judge thou between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they beguile thee from any of that (teaching) which Allah

So what punishment do God order when men and women committed adultery?

[24.02] adulteress and the adulterer and lash each one of them a hundred lashes and take you by the compassion in the religion of Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day and the punishment be witnessed by a community of believers

[24.02]The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication, - flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day:and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment.
“Flog each of them with a hundred stripes” is very different from “Stone them to dead”. There is nothing the Quran about stoning… Nothing, Nada.

THERE CAN BE NO LAW ABOVE THE LAW OF THE CREATOR

The day when the prescribed penalty for the sin of adultery and fornication was revealed by Allah through His Messenger Muhammad (s.a.s.), all the past Traditions, Rulings, Examples and Directives from the Prophet and/or from all other individuals or societies do stand repealed permanently. To propagate otherwise, would be to place the “Human Law” above the “Law of Allah”, which in Islam is regarded as an unpardonable sin.

STONING TO DEATH IN THE HADITH

There are a few Muslims who do propagate, based upon a “re-reported narrative” called Hadeeth that the Second Caliph (successor to the Prophet) had said in one of his sermons that there used to be a Revealed Verse for “Death” by stoning but it has since been lost and is not to be found in “The Holy Book”.

I wish to inform these propagators that this is a fundamentally faulty narrative – Hadeeth. Here are the indisputable facts from the Islamic history to substantiate my remark.

i) The Second Caliph died in 644 CE

ii) The Revelations that came to the Prophet were collected and compiled in a book form by the Third Caliph.

iii) This final compilation of the Holy Book (al-Qur’an) was done in 651 CE (i.e. seven years after the death of the Second Caliph). In defies logic that a person could have passed such a remark for “The BOOK”, which was compiled years after his death.

iv) Even if one was to entertain the notion that the Second Caliph had indeed made such a serious statement in public concerning the Qur’an, then it could not have escaped the notice of his successor who undertook the task of compilation.

v) It is inconceivable that not a single member of the Commission, appointed for the compilation of “The Holy Book” did not hear that Sermon nor its narrative. To say that the Third Caliph and/or the Commission knew of the “Lost Verse” and yet ignored the allegations and did not include that verse is to say that they all were totally incompetent.

vi) Did Allah who had promised to Guard His Revelation (see Qur’an 41:42; 15:9 and 73: 20) failed to safeguard the “Holy Book”?

vii) The fact of the matter is that the Muslim scholars of our era have discovered that there are over 5,000 weak, spurious and fabricated hadeeth (sayings and deeds of the Prophet), in circulation that Islam “absolves today”. It is essential to note that the re-narrated narratives (hadeeth) that are in circulation today were complied more than two centuries after the passing away of the Prophet. For those individuals who had forged the narratives in the name of the Prophet, during that period of six or more generations, it was not difficult to forge narratives in the name of a Caliph.
