We’ve had a few of these in Canada.Most recently the drowning of four young Muslim women in the Rideau Canal near Ottawa.Also a variety of of daughters killed by Fathers/brothers because they had adopted Canadian ways and would no longer be imprisoned in an “iron maiden”-the hibjab.As well as the barbarous female"circumcision".Firstly I am outraged that these savages had been allowed into my country in the first place and I pray that they are punished to the fullest extent of the law-we don’t have the death penalty but a majority of my countrymen now support it.Is this cultural or religious?Whatever it is it doesn’t belong in a civilized country,the holocaust of abortion not withstanding.

Thats what happens when you let diversity infatuated liberals and socialists run a country. All these cultures have good sides to them but if you cater too much to them and take a multi-cultural, no dominant culture view, these things become more common because nobody will force them to give up their old ways that are in conflict with the new country since they dont want to force anything on them. Multiculturalism is run amok in Britain and Canada as well as the United States. Multiple cultures together is only a good thing if you have a unified culture with a dominant morality to restrain such traditions as honour killings. In Britain and Canada, you can expect these stories to be more common as many Muslims become radicalized when they move to the West. All the 9/11 hijackers were considered not very religious in their home countries but they radicalized when coming to the politically correct West. In the United States, we are blessed that our immigrant groups are mainly Hispanics and East Asians and they are normally hardworking people that share many of the moral values as the majority of the American country has. They have their problems such as gang violence but then again so do we.

Most of Europe has similar problems with Muslims.

You want Muslims who grown up in a faithful way to adapt in such secular life!!!

Instead of that, introduce the real words of God to them, start showing them some documentaries about Jesus over taking them to the cinema, show them how the Nuns live instead of how Canadians live, show them the real teaching of marriage in Christianity over the divorce in the secular law…

And neither of those parties run anywhere near me.

I was actually really into politics until I finally managed to vote for the winning party. Then they showed themselves to be almost the same as the party I’ve hated for so many years. The methods and tactics that a party must adopt here in order to get elected are what made me lose faith in the system. That’s great that you believe those two parties mean something, but the truth is if they want to win seats they’re going to have to betray everything they stand for and keep silent on their major issues, and pretend to be a mainstream party. Because in our elected oligarchy it isn’t those who have the best platform that win, it’s those who can best manipulate the people. I think our system would be much better if populism was removed from the equation.

The problem is that honour killings aren’t a religious belief, they’re a proscribed punishment within certain communities, in a secular state the power of coercion lies with the state and by agreeing to live within a state you are agreeing to submit yourself to its judicial system.
