Hi everybody,
Ive been suffering much lately mostly mental now about my life situation and the world situation. Ive prayed and prayed but yet to hear from God. For whatever reason he is allowing the suffering to continue and i just having the hardest time accepting that.

Id appreciate your prayers. Im not sure what else I can do. I sometimes wish that I go to bed and hope to not wake up back into this nightmare.

Sorry for the low spirit…
 
Dear God help Beyond to understand the meaning of suffering. The good nuns used to tell us to thank God every time we had the privilege of sufferering along side Christ. We were told to visualize that we were on the cross with Jesus. Then visualize looking down at your feet and seeing your mother Mary looking up at you with a look of compassion and understanding. That would be a good time to say a Hail Mary. She is so loving and helpful when you are suffering. She will stay with you through your whole ordeal.
 
beyond, suffering has been in the world since Adam and Eve sinned. All we can do is try to trust that there is a reason for everything. And know that God loves us no matter what.

Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death Amen. :byzsoc:

I’m reading one of Mother Angelica’s books right now, its called Answers Not Promises by Mother Angelica with Christine Allison.
In the book Mother talks about all the different kinds of suffering we go through, how God permits it, and that it is a gift given from Him actually, there is preventive suffering (to keep us from doing something that isn’t in His will for us), corrective suffering (when we have done it anyway and to get us back on track), repentant suffering (for when we’ve made wrong choices), suffering witness (so as to be a witness to others -God knows we will prevail like Job), personal suffering (for when we’ve been weak), interior suffering (the suffering of our souls), redemptive suffering, (to rescue, free or help pay for the penalty incurred by another), and the suffering that comes out of no where (like suddenly going blind, (God uses that to increase our trust and faith in Him.)
I will keep you in my prayers too. Like Baptisa said too, God has a purpose for the suffering you are going through.
Unite all of your suffering to Jesus for the salvation of the world.
Rest assured that when you unite your sufferings with Him that all is well and just keep trusting God. Get the book if you can, she is so awesome and explains everything so well. She herself is now going through more suffering and I am sure that she offers it all up for the world. I love that woman.
I think that when we realize that we are all suffering in some way, or will suffer in some way, that we will be more at peace with it. Her book helps to understand it better. We are afterall to follow Jesus and look what happened to Him.
In her book she also talks about how we are not to go looking for suffering and that there is some suffering that we can and need to get out of.
I will keep you in my prayers too.

Dear Lord, increase faith, hope and love in this man. Let him feel your saving love, let him have faith in your saving plan, and let him hope in you that he may never be distraught at your way of loving him. Amen
