Please pray for me. I know this is a long post, and if you don’t have time to read the whole thing, please just say a prayer for me. My first initial is N, and my patron is St. Maximilion Kolbe. I have been trapped by certain fears and obsessions since my birthday two months ago. Here is my situation. I am a 24-year-old man who is physically disabled. Since I get fatigued easily, I am unable to take a full course load in college, and am still an undergraduate. I have even less of an idea of what I’m going to do with my life than most people my age.

I have bad anxiety, and it has been amplified as of late. I have always been scared thinking about the fact that I’m going to live forever. Obviously I’m scared of hell, as I should be, but even the prospect of living forever in Heaven is not much of a comfort to me. For all of my life, whenever the thought of it crept into my mind, I would just remind myself that in our fallen state it is impossible for us to imagine what an eternal existence will be like, and after reminding myself, I was always able to move on. I’m certain the fact that I’m not currently in a state of grace is making an eternity with God seem even more repulsive to me. (I have an appointment for Confession on Saturday.) In these past months, when I have been in a state of grace, I have obsessed more on the fact that time is passing so quickly. No matter the state of my soul, I have been unable to live in the moment and enjoy anything. Terrifyingly, whenever I am doing anything I enjoy, the only thing going through my head is the fact that whatever fun activity I’m currently doing will soon be over.

I’m going to be getting surgery next week and then recovering for about a month, and after that I will definitely see my psychiatrist. Please pray that this will help me get back the joie de vivre I used to have. I will definitely pray for you. God bless.

Praying to St. Dymphna for your health & recovery. Praying for your successful surgical outcome.

Holy Mary,Mother of God,please keep N beneath Your mantle. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon namax91 in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to his assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Our Lady of Mental Peace Prayer

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility and
Mother of Hope,
look upon me in this time
of disquiet and weakness.

Still my restless spirit,
teach my searching heart to know
that God’s love for me
is unchanging and that the suffering
which He may will for me now
is to draw me closer to Him.

Let thy gentle peace and His —
which the world cannot give —
be always with me, that I may
be sanctified: and then:
I beseech thee
for the grace to bring this
peace to others.

Jesus, My Savior, I give myself
entirely to Thee through Mary:

Our Lady of Mental Peace,
pray for me!

We let the past and it’s water under the bridge contaminate the present with anger, sadness and hurt. And we let the nonexistent future infect the present with worry, dread and fear. But God is present and with us here and now. And the truth is that the present is all we really have. That is one of the graces of the Blessed Sacrament. It reminds us to be here, now with the Lord and not in the past or future. We all need that blessing.

Prayers continuing for you…

*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen*
