Horrible Pain - Please pray for me

I have had a problem with sciatica since August. However the last two and a half weeks I had been pretty much pain free. On Sunday that all changed and it came back - only much worse. I am even having trouble walking now, not just with bending or getting out of a chair. I am having an MRI done on Thursday or possibly even today if they can get me in. We already are struggling with money, we can’t afford for me not to be able to work. I do have five sick days right now but I don’t know how long this will go on. Even after I have the MRI, who knows what the next step will be and how long it will take to get there? Even if I didn’t have to worry about work it would be difficult for me while my husband is at work and the kids at school, nobody to help me if I need it. My husband helped to get me out of the recliner this morning (I can’t get comfortable in our bed with this problem). He feels so bad having to leave me to go to work. Please pray for me. At least when I had this problem before I could walk without pain and still do most things at work without problem. If the problem was like that again I could handle it okay, but it is so much worse now. Your prayers are greatly appreciated!

You will be in my prayers. Offer your suffering to the poor souls in purgatory, one soul released equals one Saint in heaven, whom would be such a great advocate. I know it is easier said than done. Have no doubt, you are at the foot of the Cross at this time, look up to him, hold on to our Mother (she is reaching out to you).

Hi Donna , so sorry to read that you suffer so much and you’re having hard sciatica pains , count on my prayers , too .
May Lord come into your aid , ease and take away the pains , may Lord grant you fast recovery and complete healing from all illness .

Thank you for your prayers. I did get my MRI yesterday, so that was good. I was able to go to work by wearing a Thermacare wrap. I was so happy that I was at least able to go. I work in a nursery school and I have to say the kids are great medicine for me. They are so happy to see me, I get hugs, you can’t beat that!
The mornings are brutal for me and I am offering my suffering for the Holy Souls, I did think of that. Hopefully it won’t take too long to get some real relief. If I can at least make it through work I won’t have to worry about the money end anyway. It is hard to be at home and not get things done myself that I usually do, especially with Christmas coming. I usually make tons of Christmas cookies for many people, I don’t know how that is going to work out. Again, thank you so much for your prayers, please keep them coming!

The pain has gotten worse and I have been out of work two days now. The doctor gave me stronger medication last night and wants me to start physical therapy. The problem now is that even this strong medication is not working. Please continue praying, I really need to be able to go back to work!

(MRI showed two bulging disks and arthritis)
 
Donna I ask that Christ give you the strength to go on with or without the pain, that hemay be your rock and your shield.

This may sound crazy but much of your pain may be able to be releived by simple self massage to trigger points in your back. “Even when back pain is due to genuine problems in the vertebral column, myofascial trigger points always contribute a major part of the pain.”* It is vital to understand that where you are experiencing the pain is not the only origin of the pain. I have suffered from back pain for 41 years and recently found the origin of my pain was trigger points in the muscles - away from the pains that I was feeling. *Buy The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook, Your Self-Treatment Guide for Pain Relief by Clair Davies (see pg 162). All major bookstores carry it. That $20 book has saved me hundreds and kept me virtually free of pain since I bought it.
