Hosts From the Tabernacle at the Agnus Dei

The Bishop of my dioceses put out a letter a year ago, to all the parishes, that no one other than the priest or deacon, are allowed to open the tabernacle. The EMHC no longer touch the tabernacle.

So this is only the norm for your diocesis, Jimmy, isn’t it? And what is the norm for all others? Duh, it is really complicated, all this details… nobody thaught me that during liturgy lectures!

I believe its the norm for the USA, put out recently by the USCCB.
