The formation of ‘hot’ cognitions in delay of gratification is a ‘hot’ topic for me. It’s borrowed from psychology, and is briefly described here:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_cognition

Most of the theories are trivial, except for the delay of gratification experiment, as is highlighted in the article.

Delay of gratification was involved in a recent spiritual ‘test’ I was presented with. It basically involved a ‘red hot’ cognition where I was spiritually instructed (either ‘good’ or ‘evil’ spirit, I’m not quite sure) to either post on CAF or delete my entire post and gain a heavy dose of spirituality… I chose to post, and I’m now kicking myself.

Listen, and win! 😃

LOVE! 🙂

What was the post on? If you wrote it with honesty and thought in tune with the Spirit then what’s the problem? If you wrote something you didn’t really believe then that is possibly why you feel off-key.

I would say that I believe it was the Holy Spirit, but it’s well known to contemplatives that Satan can disguise himself into sounding and feeling like ‘good’ spirit.
