It’s been two years or so since I’ve listened to the full song, that was about the time I found out what it was about according to the source I used. So I’m not going to get the line right the first time. Unfortunetly I don’t remember the source I used but if I find it or another I’ll post it.

And please, no need to bash me. I think on this section where everyone believes in God and the Devil it would be better to realize that the song might reffer to the church of Satan instead of bashing a fellow Catholic member just because he said a song you like may be about the church of Satan!
 
I guess I look at the whole thing a little more simply. Its my belief that the song was written by a couple of Rockers that we perhaps “higher” than they should have been and were looking for a great commercial success. They looked for a haunting melody, which they came up with and tried to fit some words, that rhymned, in.

I don’t think that either of them has the mental capacity to be much more than greedy song-writers.

Put any meanings into the thing if that “pulls your chain” but I really don’t think it was ever there.

I know it may seem like this, but I don’t think anyone is really bashing you, they are bashing your stating "this is a fact…" without a reference to where you get the “fact” from.

Without a source, it is just your opinion. If you had stated it as that, there would be less of an issue.

Although it tends to get a little heated in this forum, opinions are freely welcomed and argued. Facts, or opinion stated as fact, need to be documented.

Just take a moment and go find the source you were mentioning and post the link and then argue your point from there.

Actually, if I was going to pick out a line from the song and argue it was related to Satan, I would have chosen:

P.S. - don’t think it is Satanic, just saying.

one thing we can all agree on is that this is the strangest of all threads-that-don’t-belong-on-this-forum

it is just more music to get high by, makes no sense unless you were high when you wrote it and high when you listen to it, an entire sub-genre of pop-music of the 70s

No because I don’t have the disc, and don’t want to have it. However, there are some songs that have hidden Satanic messages if played backwards.

In the song, “A Little Help from my Friends” by the Beatles, there is a repeated line that says “I can get HIGH with a little help from my friends”. In that line (and song) you know what they’re talking about. The Beatles I know for a fact had some “hidden messages” in their songs because I saw a video about it and actually I can still put up that video if anyone does not believe on that one. I do apologize for not having any proof of my statement about the “Hotel California” song, YET. I can find a link to that eventually.

Yeah, sorry for not posting proof to that. I’ll look for a link to it. And I wouldn’t really consider it “bashing”, I was just too lazy to think of another word.

One can get “high” from being with good friends, though I doubt that the Beatles meant it as such. However, you read far too much into things that really don’t require it. The Beatles also sang “all you need is love,” but you wouldn’t mistake their beliefs for being catholic, would you?

Ok. Do you need proof? I’ll post that video for you and everyone else. I must warn you it’s bit disturbing, but it’s not in-apropriate and it’s true. You can’t argue with this video either because John Lynn of the Beatles in an interview seen in this video says he promises Christianity will “die out”, as well as some other things that prove my point. am pleased and relieved to see one of our particularly fun time-wasters of the 60s-early 70s is a live and well in the current generation, playing records backwards to hear the satanic messages. I did not know you could play a CD or Ipod backwards, but i am learning, memo to self, ask teenage grandkids to help with this project. PTB was right, there is one born every minute
