First…they are accused…then you say “guaranteed”…then you say about the Rolling Stones…not 100%. So are they or aren’t they? Better check your crystal ball…oh by the way that is an album by Styx. I guess by their name they have evil messages in thier music.Whether someone agrees with me or not doesn’t really make much of a difference, I’m just trying to warn people of the evil messages that are contained in such songs.
And by the way, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and the Rolling Stones are all accused of having had Satanic messages in their songs. The Beatles and Led Zeppelin** are garaunteed **to have had evil messages, not 100% on the Rolling Stones though. I’d have to look that up.
Why don’t we just all say the Devil, the father of all lies, has never been guilty of throwing evil messages into songs? I’m being sarcastic, but judging by your posts that’s what you’re saying. And please don’t say God listens to music like that, that’s just not right. No way.First…they are accused…then you say “guaranteed”…then you say about the Rolling Stones…not 100%. So are they or aren’t they? Better check your crystal ball…oh by the way that is an album by Styx. I guess by their name they have evil messages in thier music.
Please do tell…how do “you” know what music God listens to and what God doesn’t? Truth be told…you don’t.
Scaring folks into belief is not the way…pointing out evil around every corner only creates fear…something which perpetuates evil.
Perhaps a broader search would open the narrow field in your mind. Hotel California is a song the Eagles wrote a long time ago. They wrote many songs…good songs. So did many other bands. Having lived through that era and remembering the good times, good music, I am unscathed. Perhaps another 20 yrs under your belt would do you some good.
I need YOU to tell me what satanic messages are in Beatles songs, not what somebody else says. Some people say that Jesus was not a historical person; should I just take their word for it?You can’t just say “it isn’t evil”. I’m beginning to question you ever watching the video I posted on the Beatles. If you had, you would have seen the messages that were contained in some of their songs.
If John Lennon had a position on Chrisitianity it would be one of indifference. The “Beatles are bigger than Jesus” remark was one taken severely out of context and Lennon apologized if what he said offended anyone. And just because the video says that Lennon and his wife “sacrificed and animal to Satan” doesn’t mean that they really did. The only place I ever hear this “fact” is from sites that claim Lennon was a satanist. No, but what does make John Lennon’s (ok,ok, I can show a sense of humor too… a.k.a Lynn) actions evil is the fact that he admitted he was against Christianity. Something else that was contained in the video I posted. The video even says he and his wife sacrificed an animal to Satan. Quite disturbing. Like I said, Satan will put his fingerprints on anything he can. Music, video games, movies, books, etc. They say Satan is the master musician behind music. Not all music, but some music. You can’t say it’s impossible just because it doesn’t seem possible to you.
I’ve had evangelical friends tell me that Catholics aren’t “saved” and worship Mary. My point is, just because someone says something doesn’t make it true. Just because someone comes up with an interpretation of something and even makes a video out of it, doesn’t make the information accurate.I was told by an evangelical friend that the song was referring to Anton LaVey who was popular during those day’s with many in Hollywood and musicians. He founded and was high priest of the church of satan. some lyrics such as “stab it with our steely knives but we just cant kill the beast”. And I think referenced earlier by someone, “you can check out anytime you like but you can never leave”. My friend also said one of the names for the church by LaVey was Hotel California. Also mentioned was the use of the hallucinogen peyote by members of the Eagles during this time. If the song is indeed about LaVey I wouldn’t trust the song writers to be honest about it, I mean after all if they worshiped the father of all lies what would you expect? Honesty? Just adding my two cents here, my evangelical friend has a very compelling argument for his position on the issue and is much more articulate than I in stating his case.
It’s far from a first time, Annie… tho’ usually it’s to demonstrate some OF liturgical abuse.what is most ironic is a denizen of the TF using utoob to back up their opinions
I got the definitive collection as a gift and am still trying to figure out how to play a CD backwards. boy do I miss vinyl. somebody help an aging hippie out here? Please, please, please supply us with some examples of Satanic messages in the Beatles music. Pretty please.
waiting for the utoob showing satanic rock music at OF Mass c’mon you people get busy doing your researchIt’s far from a first time, Annie… tho’ usually it’s to demonstrate some OF liturgical abuse.
Arguments can sound compelling, but that doesn’t guarantee they’re based on fact. I recommend reading this article: snopes.com/music/songs/hotel.asp. The article refutes many of the claims made by your friend.I was told by an evangelical friend that the song was referring to Anton LaVey who was popular during those day’s with many in Hollywood and musicians. I had the same question a few months back in another thread about Led Zeppelin. The guy informed me that there is computer software that allows you to play songs backwards. So I guess all you have to do is download those CDs onto your computer, find the software, and prepare to be amazed at all the secrets buried in the music.I got the definitive collection as a gift and am still trying to figure out how to play a CD backwards. boy do I miss vinyl. somebody help an aging hippie out here?
So I wonder how the Beatles song “Let it Be” factors into your theory? Could it be that they were merely secularists searcing for meaning, writing songs in protest and ignrorance, and the Lord actually used them for his purpose in some small way? Or is there something hidden and sinister about ‘Let it Be’ that Im missing?I read it that time.
And wow, that’s just pathetic. Making peace with a band that had Satanic messages in their songs. That doesn’t tell me the Beatles are ok now though, it makes me want to avoid their music even more.
Let me try to be as clear as possible on some of my points here.Time to fact check. I didn’t say God listens to …I “asked” how do “YOU” know what God listens to and what God does not listen to? The crystal ball reference was “do you know something about God’s taste in music that others may not”?
I don’t give evil the credits, kudo’s and attaboys that you do, by looking for demons under beds, around corners and in music. If you go looking for evil, you just may find it. Now that is a scary thought.
Your thoughts on evil in songs such as Hotel California are your opinions, not based on any fact. Many things have been written about John Lennon that are not factual. I understand that you do not care for rock n roll in that you don’t even know the names of the singers in the bands you are referring to. This tells me you are under 30 or if you are over 30 you have lived in a cave.
Video’s on YouTube are useless and not based on fact. It is a huge library of popular opinion. Humans are mostly visual…and if scared enough…or traumatized enough they will believe most anything.
If your faith is strong…that is something that evil can never penetrate.
He and his wife did sacrifice an animal to Satan. People aren’t just going to make such things up.I need YOU to tell me what satanic messages are in Beatles songs, not what somebody else says. Some people say that Jesus was not a historical person; should I just take their word for it?

Finally, if "Satan is the master musician behind music" does that include the classical Church music of Mozart and Bach, too?!?!?
People think in that song that they’re talking about Mary. They aren’t, though. So I wonder how the Beatles song “Let it Be” factors into your theory? “The Beatles are bigger than Jesus” remark made by Lennon was on how the fans had lost perspective on what should be important and what shouldn’t. He was upset that their fans were giving way too much attention to the group and he was using Jesus as a comparison only because in his mind Jesus should be getting the kind of attention the Beatles were getting. People only heard what they wanted to hear and jumped to the conclusion that Lennon was trashing Jesus.I need YOU to tell me what satanic messages are in Beatles songs, not what somebody else says. Is that not how those who have dis-agreed with me on here have been? Please, if anyone has felt they have always been right it has not been me. It’s been everyone else. “That’s crazy, Hotel California isn’t talking about the church of Satan, you are so wrong…”. So tell me again who thinks they’re totally right?“The Beatles are bigger than Jesus” remark made by Lennon was on how the fans had lost perspective on what should be important and what shouldn’t. He was upset that their fans were giving way too much attention to the group and he was using Jesus as a comparison only because in his mind Jesus should be getting the kind of attention the Beatles were getting. Its become frutile to argue with SS, he’s convinced he’s totally right and we’re totally wrong no matter how much evidence we use to back up our position.
If you mean the “new wine of the Spirit,” then yes. Christ also referred to the wineskins, making a similar analogy to the Spirit in a Christian. We have to remain supple and “new” otherwise, we become old, hard and brittle and make a mess. You do know that one of the meanings of spirit is wine, don’t you?
