Do Eastern Churches besides those of the Byzantine tradition also have house blessings following Theophany? Was there ever such a tradition in the Latin Church?

For the the Maronites and Syiacs, the answer is yes, and I believe it would be the same for the Chaldeans. I would guess that the Alexandrenes and Armenians do too, but that it just a guess. I’ve no idea about practices (ancient or otherwise) in that regard in any of the Latin Rite usages.

In some places in Europe it was customary to bless water and homes in connection with 6 January.

This is either very funny or very disturbing.

Unless we have a difference of terminology. Is this a minor deliverance prayer or a full blown exorcism to banish demonic possession?
