How about welcome signs at the church door?

Hello

France is about 95% Catholic yet only about 11% attend Church. Mostly gray hairs. Sort of normal for this day and age.

So the thought is how about a welcome sign so to speak that requires only the belief in God, the brother hood of mankind and the willingness to do the Fathers will as an entrance fee?

Hi,

You obviously aren’t aware of the great successes that all the World Youth Days have been. Your statistics are not representative for many places. Even in France there are indications of a resurgence of faith.

The Gospel has never been successfully preached by watering it down. Remember that our Lord suffered and died in utter disgrace and yet His Church still thrives throughout the world after all these centuries. This is because He is God! The Church is His. People will always be attracted to it as the result of the grace He gives them—and only through His grace, welcome signs not withstanding.
