How are Angels created?

Yes, but then how do we know they are not a figment of our imaginations? Because they look human, does not mean they are Angels…

One to tell way is that an angel always says “Do not be afraid”.
The angels in the Bible foretold event of global importance.
I doubt there as many angel sightings as people would like to think.

Yeah it seems all the sightings happened way back when and nothing really happens now…apart from ufo sightings of course…😉
 
I don’t think the angels are inactive. I believe they are working among us. It’s hard to say what is true and what is not, though.

They could have this very day taken the appearance of a person and saved someone’s life or given them comfort in some way or aid.

Believe!! Your angel is beside you at this very moment.

Of course they’re not inactive. If that were true they would not be fulfilling their purpose. 😉

Yes, that is what I have read both here and elsewhere; they are for the most part very very different from each other.

On some occasions, people who claim to be able to see them say that there are certain classes of angels that appear to be garbed in a sort of uniform (example from one particular woman: male soldier-like appearance, silver armor over legs, dark blue crest like a shield on chest but with either a design or writing that cannot be made out, band on forehead, brown shoulder-length hair), but most angels appear to be unlike any other angel.

I will not vouch for the veracity of such claims, I am only repeating them.

So how ought such claims be viewed? Probably just as private revelation, if even that.

Aquinas has a long discourse on the angels but I doubt he speaks much if at all of their physical appearance since it would be nothing more than a form they took for our benefit. As the catechism states, they are indeed pure spirits.

I don’t know if someone answered this yet, but angels can take on a human form - or even a form with wings because that is how many people understand them.

They do this so humans have something to see.

Also, they can appear as humans and interact in a special way as the Lord wills them to. There are many instances where some people have “entertained angels unawares”. (not sure if I got that biblical quote correct, but you may have heard it.
