How are females initiated into Judaism?

I know that males are initiated into Judaism by circumcision but I was wondering how the females are initiated.

In modern Judaism, a girl is usually welcomed into the Jewish community with a naming ceremony that traditionally occurs on the Sabbath after her birth, but that can occur within the first thirty days after birth. In recent years, the more liberal Jewish communities have created elaborate rites for welcoming daughters, but the basic ritual is announcing the child’s Hebrew name to the community.
