How are priest assigned and bishops elected in Orthodoxy?

Sorry if this has been asked before but I’ve searched the net and been unable to find an answer.

How are priests assigned in the Orthodox Church? Does the local community have any say in who their priest is? Also how are Bishops chosen?
 
Bishops are chosen by the synod. Priests are chosen by the Bishops.

I suggest asking this question on an Orthodox website.

But as a general rule the Orthodox try to follow the ancient canons. You can learn a lot by reading them.
