20 years ago(!) Dr. Veltman told us what kind of study need to be done to prove, or disprove, if EGW was a plagiarist. To the best of my knowledge, I am the first and only person (on the entire planet!!! ARGH!) AND I am the first one to have submitted such work to a scholarly, refereed journal to have it published (should be out soon).

but the fact that she plagerized, copied, quoted without citing sources, or whatever label you place on what she did in her writing, does not bother me so much either. There is a case to be made regarding copyright laws in those days.

The fact is, is that she didn’t plagiarize. Read Macfarlane.

One of the writers of the era noted that the people who talked back then about others plagiarizing are “tyro’s” who are “ignorant of law and literature.” The same holds true today. The critics quite literally don’t know that they don’t know what they are talking about. And yet they pontificate as if they know it all.

Actually, I can show in my study that there is just as much literary similarity with books she didn’t even have in any of her libraries!

Of course, this ignores that we teach that the Christian church is a universal (Catholic) church, that we should follow the methods of Christ (Methodist), that we are caved by faith and not by works (Lutheran), that we are to be baptized by immersion (Baptist), and that we should keep the Sabbath (SDB).

I wasn’t ignoring that you have bits and pieces of truth from The Church, and other protestant groups that are older than the SDA church…I readily admit that having belonged to the SDA church.

I also cannot ignore that there are bits and pieces of false and erroneous teachings as well.

Assumes facts that aren’t in evidence and when we see the number of “facts” that turn out not to be so we have to wonder but the unproduced one’s–maybe there’s a good reason for that.

I don’t even have ged and yet I knew enoughj to check it out on the web. He is a Fellow (whatever that means!) at Emmanuel College and the book was published by the Oxford University Press. the local libary didn’t have it but they said they could get it for me in about 2 weeks.

**Yea those things happens in trailer parks all the time. Could I have seen you on the Jerry Springer show? I actually don’t watch his show but the thought passed my mind! I myself have never even had a traffic ticket, but I am not bragging. It is just a fact, just like the fact that SDAs follow Satan and attempt to deceive others into doing the same!

About your loving SDA neighbors! Without a doubt, many good, God fearing, devout and loving people are sucked into joining the SDA cult. You should protect them from attack. As real Christians that is our responsibility! We also must try and help them escape from their cult and actually become Christians, not wish they were Hebrews! We all should to pray that they, and Protestants also can escape the lies, deceit, and corrupted teachings against Christ’s revealed truths! They to are Children of God! And as such, they deserve to obtain eternal life with the real followers of Jesus! He died so everyone could obtain eternal life! They need to learn to follow Jesus’ teachings not Ellen G. White’s fanatics.
