As above - how are you celebrating the Sacred Paschal Triduum this year? Are you going to all the main Triduum liturgies? Anything extra? Taking off work?

I’m mainly interested in those of the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church, but others are free to post their plans too.

My own answers will be in a separate post.
Here is the schedule of the Eastern Catholic Church, Greek Rite, that I attend I plan to try and make ALL the services…

Will be at the Triduum in my parish.
Holy Wednesday, Mass followed by Penitential Service.
Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday at 7 with adoration until midnight.
Good Friday starts at 3 with the Stations of the Cross followed by the Commemoration of the Passion of our Lord.
Easter Vigil at 9 p.m., I’m reading Genesis. We’re only doing a total of 5 readings and I was upset at that until yesterday when I found out that the priest who is here to serve for Easter, because our Pastor is going to be serving a distant Mission, is an 84 year old cardiac patient who has had a massive heart attack and quadruple by-pass and can only stand for the Eucharistic Prayer.

I have Thursday and Friday off from work this week. Did that last year as well, it works out great. For Holy Week, my plans are:

Daily Mass Monday-Wednesday
Rosary every day
Adoration Monday-Thursday (1 hour each day)
Mass on Thursday night
Stations of the Cross, Liturgy and Tenebrae on Friday
At some point in the day, pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and watch the Passion of the Christ
Mass on Saturday night at my parents’ parish

I get drunk on the Triduum, by that I mean I am immersed in the Event the various parts of the one liturgy celebrates over this time period. The way an observant Jew imbibes the wine of the Passover celebration, I imbibe the wine of Christ this week. That is what RCIA does to you. yes I will probably spend more time in an around church this week than any other week of the year. God bless all our catechumens and candidates.

Playing music for Holy Thurs, Holy Sat, and 2 Sunday morning. Holy Saturday day we have a “run through” of cues. Mercifully, the other group plays Good Friday (so I can go somewhere else), and I hire out for the early morning Sunday.

just a simple question what mass are you going to attend starting today and finishing on Easter Sunday

All of them, but I’m a cantor. that means 1 Holy Thursday evening, 1 Good Friday plus Tenebrae, Easter Vigil, Sunrise, and 11:30am Mass. Then rest.

peace

It’s nice that someone made a poll. However, two corrections:
The Mass for Wednesday of Holy Week is missing
The Celebration of the Lord’s Passion on Good Friday is not a Mass.

Thursday morning I am presiding at Morning Prayer then going to the Chrism Mass where I will be accompanying the oils in procession (not sure which oils yet, but I am sure I will find out), Then back to the parish to set up for the evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper. Then run home for a quick bite to eat then back to the parish by 6:30 to make sure all is ready for the 7:30 Mass. After Mass I help strip the church and then spend some time in adoration and get home around 10:30.

Friday I preside at Morning Prayer then help set up the gym for the overflow Easter Mass, then set up for the 3:00 Service. Then I am going home and baking and decorating a cake with my daughter for Sunday dinner. If I am not too tired I will go to stations of the cross in the evening,

Saturday morning I again preside at Morning Prayer then we have our Preparation Rites with our Elect. Then we decorate the Church. I set up everything for the Vigil and for Easter Sunday (books, worship aids, candles, the wood and stuff for the fire, and whatever else). Then I go to Costo to pick up the cake and other stuff for the reception after the Vigil. Then I go home, shower, eat, then head back to church by 6:30 to give instructions to the sacristians. The Vigil is at 8:00 and I run around in the background doing stuff (one day I will again just sit though a Vigil as a member of the assembly). After the Vigil it is pictures with the Neophytes and then the reception. I get home around 11:30 if I am lucky.

Easter morning I am back in church doing what I always do on Sundays but today I also play traffic cop in the parking lot and try to convince people to move in the pews so others can sit. I get home around 2:30 and then I crash until dinner. Then I eat and crash again and don’t wake up until hopefully noon on Monday.

The Mass for Wednesday of Holy Week is missing
The Celebration of the Lord’s Passion on Good Friday is not a Mass.
i based it off the schedule for my diocese mainly my parish

for my diocese the chrism mass is Wednesday not Thursday IDK the reasoning behind it.

and I literally copied and pasted that from my parishes website, that is exactly what it says.

I’m MC/acolyte for Easter Vigil at my parish this year; going to “all of the above” and serving Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Masses.

Chrism Mass; Confession thereafter
Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Way of the Cross and Good Friday service
Easter Vigil
Easter Mass

All of the above. Assuming I make it to Mass this morning. Plus a Tenebrae Service at our Parish on Wednesday evening.

I took off Thursday this year. I have wanted to attend the Chrism Mass for the past several years, so this year, I asked a friend that I’ve made from daily Mass if she wanted to go with me. She took off, too, so this year I will be there!

I am serving as an EMHC for Holy Thursday (my favorite celebration all year!), and my boys and my niece are the altar servers for the Easter Vigil.

There is a priest who offers an outdoor Stations of the Cross on Good Friday morning at his property. I went last year and there were hundreds of people…will be there this year, and plan to take my boys. And I will be at the service at my parish at 3 pm. (decorating for the Easter Vigil to follow)

I like puzzleannie’s description…“I get drunk on the Triduum.” 👍
