In the end it’s not that God condemns us, it is that we reject His precepts and laws and are subject to the penalty for unrepentant sin.
Irregardless if your a homosexual, thief, murderer, idolater, pagan, child molester, cleptomaniac, ect, ect ect…
It is our turning from God, we all have sin, and while we are on earth we all have the same opportunity to confess the sin and to turn and run from it.
Each day we wake upon is a new opportunity to deny ourselves and serve the Lord.
The penalty for breaking God’s law is ultimately death…the kind of sin is really irrelevant.
As Christ said, our problem is a heart problem…we are so attached to our sin it hardens our heart.
Also, God gives us all the freedom to sin, and the freedom to cry out to him for forgiveness
AND REPENTANCE…To repent means to truly turn from your sin and deny your own flesh, whatever ones hangup may be.
That is why we say an act of
contrition after going to confession…
My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things.
I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance,
to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In his name, my God, have mercy.
The choice is yours, do not lay it on God.
Just my two cents…
