You can use reason, history, and Scripture. Jesus founded ONE, and only one Church (that’s in Scripture). He also intended it to remain ONE, united, perpetual, holy, apostolic, universal…(also in Scripture, and can be reasoned). So, you look at what the Church of the Bible looked like, use reason to realize that whichever Church He established MUST have been around from the day He founded it, to today, and to have persisted without falling to the gates of hell (despite men within it failing since the very beginning)…and you go from there.
