This question has come up to me several times in the past and I am not quite sure how to fully answer it:
When the Church tells you that priests are another Christ, and the Bible teaches that there is one Christ, in whom do you put your trust?
I have never heard anyone in the church state that the priest is another Christ. I think this person is misunderstanding what the Church means when it says in persona Christi. Which I understand is that the priest acts in the person of Christ when giving out the sacrements. Is there any other meaning to this other than what my stated understanding is? Any suggested reading or downloadable audio on the subject?
