The Resurrection of Christ was special in its majesty and importance to all mankind.

As Catholics, we are promised by Christ of a General Resurrection, where our human souls will be reunited with our bodies. Unlike angels, who are purely spirit, humans are designed as both physical and spiritual.

Humans weren’t meant to die–death was introduced to the world by original sin of Adam and Eve. Before Christ, those who died in God’s mercy had their souls separated from their bodies. While their bodies turned back to dust, these souls were stuck in “Abraham’s Bosom,” or “Limbo of the Fathers,” awaiting the arrival of Christ and His Passion.

With Christ’s Passion, death is defeated for those who follow Christ. At the end of time, all souls in heaven will experience what Christ experienced–their bodies will be miraculously glorified and united again with our souls (no matter how long ago, or the manner or cause of our deaths).

The problem isn’t what the body is stored in; the problem is body has no life or movement and will disintegrate over time.

Resurrection is possible because it takes place outside of time. GOD will use the life in our body (and our mind) to build us, in the Eternal Life, what Saint Paul called a “spiritual body.” Outside of time, it won’t matter that your flesh reverted to the earth; and anything your dead self was encased in will be beside the point, because “you” won’t be there.

God made us from dust in the first place, “remember that you are dust, and unto dust you shall return”
if God can make us from dust(or from nothing) then He will have no problem bringing our bodies back from dust, God can do all things after all, it’s no matter to us how He does what He does, all we need to do is trust in Him and not worry.

if God can create a person, who fathers the entire human race, out of a hunk of clay, he can ressurect anyone from dust, remains or ashes.
