My step daughter knows practically nothing about the Catholic faith although she was Baptized in the Catholic Church. She is straying from the Catholic faith and is listening to Protestants. Protestants believe Christ died once for our sins, and they do not have to go to Confession (I guess they just confess their sins directly to God). How can I explain to her that the Protestant belief is incorrect and that although God died once for all sins, it is still necessary for Catholics to confess their sins to a priest?
