How can I explain the concept of 'scandal' to my daughter?

Although vowing to a commitment to chastity, my 20 something daughter and her boyfriend are planning on sharing a hotel room but sleeping in separate beds on a trip they have planned. I feel this will cause scandal. How can I explain this to her?
