I have a brown scapular medal. I bought it because I saw the heart of Jesus on it and I have prayed for the Lord to make my heart like His. I have also wanted to be like Mary and obey the will of God. I had this medal blessed by a parish priest. However, I did not realize it was related to the brown scapular. I have recently read about the brown scapular and now have a better understanding of it and am excited about it. Do the promises of wearing the scapular still apply to me? I hope so, but would like to be sure. I am hoping a knowledgeable priest will reply to this question. Thank you!
