How can I have a catholic wedding on the beach?

I am catholic and am getting married soon. I want to be married on a favorite childhood beach- but was told that catholic priests cannot marry anyone unless it is inside the church. Is this true? If so, can I get my marriage blessed by the church/priest afterwards?
