This differs greatly between individuals but I used to sit in an empty church and stare at the ceiling.

Receiving the Holy Eucharist is a popular method that seems to work for many.

Find a good Catholic spiritual director. Ask questions, listen to answers, read, do your homework. Look for God in every daily act, everyone you meet but do reflect on this with your director so you don’t get lost or misled.

For me, i read bible, sing a song about God, or watch a movie about Him and pray to Him about my daily life.

But you can start by knowing who He is first and know what He has done for you. It happened when i was in university. I felt that i want to know about God more and i found a lot of articles how to do it and He made a lot of amazing things in my life right know. I believe you can have the same experience too. You will be in my prayer and if you have any questions just message me to my inbox.

God Bless you:D:thumbsup:

Through reading the word, prayer and recieving his sacraments.

Great question.

Read the Gospels (start with Mark; it’s fastest and easiest). Ask Jesus into your heart. Pray every day; ask God for what you need and praise Him for His goodness.

Pray. Prayer begins in heaven. See God in your question. You are created for Him. Do not be satisfied with anything less than UNION with God. The pinnacle of prayer is the mass, the pinnacle of the mass is the Holy Eucharist. All for the Glory of God the Father.

Peace

You form friendships and relationships by spending time with another person. learning about them and enjoying being with them.
It’s the same with God.
You can spend time with him in Prayer and in the Sacraments.
you can learn about him (and spend time with him) by reading the Scriptures and other spiritual reading.

You can work with him in serving others in Charity and Evangelisation.

These are NOT soem kind of “Fob-Off” answer. they are the Truth, as discovered by every saint who has gone before you.

There are many ways, Mass (not just Sunday, but weekly Mass), read your bible, perhaps get hold of a study on each of the books in the gospel and take it slowly, or take the Mass readings and meditate on those for the week.
Reconciliation is a big one, because it takes time and care to reflect, adoration either at a set time or just after/before Mass or if you are driving past and the doors are open…
Prayer, the rosary, fasting, meeting with other Catholics, maybe prayer groups, seasonal groups, etc morning and afternoon reflections/prayers

We have so many wonderful opportunities to grow with Christ. Even if you pick one to focus on.

And remember, that you won’t always have that great feeling, don’t rely on your feelings. It’s great when it happens, but faith is knowing that He is there without all that extra fluff.

“Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen me and yet have come to believe” John 20.29

Prayer seems to be a way to deepen our relationship. Talk to Him by thanking Him for everything. Asking for our wants and needs. And listening to Him through silence.

Learning about Him through Scripture and Church teaching.

Mass is also a wonderul way! Worshipping Him is an obvious means to growing in our relationship!

👍 One of the best ways to allow God’s will to enter your life is to take direction from those who have a relationship with Him. Pray and offer Mass for a good spiritual director.

I’m constantly talking to God. At least that was the advice a nun told me many many years ago in CCD class. Advise I’ve carried with me all these years. And my relationship with God strong.

God bless

Best way is to receive Holy Communion in a state of grace! Go to Adoration as well. Talk and pray to God in Adoration for a relationship. Pray the rosary daily and meditate on each mystery. Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy daily. Read the Bible.

depends who you are and what you love:
mass connects many to Him and each other
some people sing, dance, pray, read, write and talk about Him

you exist
feel your being
which springs from our Creator,
Who is right here, with us,
He who gives us this life that surges through us
the Source of all that is, all our joys, all our sorrows
Holy, Holy, Holy

it’s very personal
ask Him; He is asking you
