Why do you think this? How did you arrive at “an hour” as an appropriate amount of time?
(Consider, too, that by going to Mass, you probably have already prayed at least an hour on Sundays.)
For practical suggestions, I do not fast on Sundays or engage in other penitential practices. I read, relax, have fun with my family. I’ll make something special for dinner or have dessert (which is rare in our house.)
