How can I "save" souls in Purgatory?

I’ve seen in a website that anyone can save 1000 souls (symbolic) of the purgatory just by praying with true meaning: “Our Lord, by the Holy Blood of your Son Jesus, I wish that every Holy Mass celebrated all over the world on this day may be dedicated to those holy souls” ?
