This is a problem with wet dreams, I wake up and then I vaguely remember what happened, I couldn’t control myself when in the dream, that’s for sure, someone who has been through this? Help?

Not Catholic, and a am a woman, so YMMV.
(your mileage may vary).

Are you doing anything to predispose you to these dreams?
Watching movies/reading books with a sexual theme, listening to music of the same? Do you masturbate? Hang around in ‘charged’ situations, bars/parties, ect?
If so, this can increase the likelihood of wet dreams, I know from experience.

Are you dating, or engaged? This will, despite your best behavior, also lead to this.

Otherwise, if all the above is no, I wouldn’t worry about it. Humans are sexual creatures, and sometimes the drive will not be denied, no matter the time or place! Such dreams are normal, for men and women, I had them when I was engaged, and still do, on occasion, even now that I’m married.Hey, I’m glad to have them, mess and all. Means everything still works like it should.

Wet dreams are not a sin. You have no control over what you dream and consequently full consent is lacking.

All teenagers get wet dreams, unless you masturbate, which is a mortal sin. you can’t controll wet dreams, they are in no my sinfull.

We are not bound by the prescriptions of the Old Law. This is why Christians can eat pork. Nocturnal emissions are totally involuntary and not sinful. They in no way make one impure.

Nope none at all

No, I’m single

I didn’t know that women have wet dreams… I’m 48 and still learning…teachccd;)

Oh yes, Teach!

Quite normal for women. Usually, but not always, mine are triggered by lack of ‘activity’, when DH is working long hours and just too tired. But then, here lately, my drive has been MUCH higher than his. Sometimes, even when we’ve been plenty ‘busy’, I get them. Guess the body/mind doesn’t want to stop the fun!

So yeah, on occasion, they happen. That’s about when DH gets ‘called on the carpet’ so to speak, and told to do his husbandly duty, or else!😃

I’m over 50 and I still get one every now and then. I don’t think women usually call them “wet dreams,” but it’s the female equivalent. I wish they would stop already! It helps to do some spiritual reading before bed-time, but sometimes the body is just going to do what it’s going to do. I guess I should be glad that the plumbing is still in order at my age. 😊

But it’s not sinful since there was no consent of the will involved.

So you guys/gals are all saying that having a wet dream is serious matter, and that one has have full knowledge that it is wrong? That the only reason it is not a sin is because there is no consent of the will?

If so, I would be inclined to say “now I have heard everything.” Sure if one is doing something to bring them on, what is being done is probably a sin in itself, but the dream itself a sin? Unbelievable!

No one said the dream was a sin, they said since we can’t control our dreams it’s not a sin.

No, there’s no serious matter involved in any dream of any kind, nor any physical reaction thereto. Such things are, as have been pointed out, beyond our control.
