How can Mary's Immaculate Heart be the way, when Jesus has said that He is the way?

Hello,
I’ve been a Catholic for about 8 years. I have one thing that’s been troubling me.
In the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, at one point Mary says that her Immaculate Heart will be the way that will lead them to God.
Does this not contradict Jesus saying, “I am the way…no one comes to the Father except by Me.” ?

It seems to me there’s an awful lot to confirm that Fatima really was of God. But this statement attributed to Mary confuses me. I don’t believe Mary would say some thing like that.
Please help? Thank you.

Hi,

Our Blessed Mother from her “Be it done to me according to your word,” through her standing at the foot of the cross—to all eternity is ever subject to her Son who is also her Savior. It was her mother’s love that nursed Him as a child and received us from Him on the cross as her children. By the Father’s determination, it was through her the Jesus came to us. She told the children at Fatima that her Son wished that her Immaculate Heart be the way that leads to Him. She would never say this on her own, apart from Him. Her Immaculate Heart will always be subject to His will. He truly is the Way, but He is free to use any means He chooses to bring people to it. And He has chosen her Immaculate Heart for that purpose.
