How can my son with wheat allergies partake of the Eucharist?

Many people suffer from wheat allergies. As I have come to learn, my son suffers dramatically from such an allergy. The host is wheat based. My Pastor says for him to come forth for the blessing but not to partake in the Eucharist. We have done this for sometime know, and my son is feeling less apart of the Mass with every passing Sunday. Any thoughts?

Your son is entitled to receive from the chalice. If the priest will not offer him the Eucharist in this way, I suggest that you attend a parish where the priest will do so. If you have further questions regarding this, you may contact privately me by clicking on my name.
